Always an incredible experience. Fresh and delicious seafood, pasta and chicken. Can't say enough about how 4 people could all be so satisfied by the dinner. Bravo!
If you're looking for a friendly atmosphere of a chef owned restaurant Monticello is for you. Prices are fair and food quality excellent.
The food was delicious. The Chicken milanese is the best around. The bread pudding was to die for.
Had a great meal with great service! My allergy needs were met without hesitation. We will be coming back soon!
By far the best Italian restaurant in Red Bank! Wide variety of choices...food always fresh and delicious. Great ambiance for date night..service is always great! If you have one restaurant to go to in Red Bank Monticello is it!
Food was delicious and our server was very attentive. There was one table where the guests were getting quite loud; I appreciated how the owner, unprompted, went over and took control of the situation. We will definitely be back!
The food is always great, we gave ourselves plenty of time before our show at 9:30 pm and our waitress even asked if we were going to a show to make sure our meals arrived as soon as possible so we would be on time. Great place!
First time there. Made a reservation but really didn't need one since we were the only table until we were about halfway done with our entrees. It's BYOB if you didn't know before going, there's a liquor store right down the block with a very friendly woman to suggest wines for the evening. The server opened our bottle and I moved the two wine glasses over to him and then he put the open bottle in front of us and walked away. A little funny. I guess they do take out or doordash or something so if you sit by the window there's really no lobby or foyer so expect people waiting for orders to kind of just stand there awkwardly pacing while you try to enjoy your meal. Two people picked up food while we were eating, the first person was having an obnoxiously loud speaker phone conversation which that combined with the restaurant music which was fine, our conversation, noise coming from the back of the kitchen really just attracted from the ambiance. Manager or host whoever it was did ask him to quiet down but he really didn't, recommend sitting away from the door if you want to avoid being disrupted by doordashers etc. the second person wasn't on the phone which was great but literally walked in and out probably five times checking on the order, come on dude if it's ready they'll give it to you in out and out. Food was phenomenal, I would get what I got every single night forever if I could. We shared a goat cheese prosciutto pear appetizer which was amazing, my wife got the chicken meal with broccoli and truffle fries and I got the fish special which the server said was a striped bass but I knew there's no way it could have been and then the bill said Baja so whatever it was it was great. We frequent the area, I'll probably go back and just sit not near the front door.
Excellent, as always! Best restaurant in Red Bank. Food and service are spectacular, and you are never rushed.
What's a wonderful experience we've been there before, but this time seemed different. The atmosphere the service the food we agreed to promptly seated in a very nice table.

Delicious food. Our party of four each tried a chicken entree from the Fixed Price $30 menu. All were very pleased. Nice salad (choice of garden or Caesar), warm bread, and a parfait dessert. Our server Marina was excellent. We were not rushed and had a terrific dining experience. We will be back!
Restaurant has a lot of potential but missed the mark in a few areas.
The Good:
The staff was very friendly and our waitress was extremely sweet. She checked in on us enough to be attentive but was never over-bearing. It is a very relaxed pace meal, you are not rushed and while I know some people mind a wait for apps or between courses we appreciated the breathing room as it was a kid-free night out for us, we just chatted and sipped our wine. As far as food everything appeared fresh and the sauces were very well done and well flavored. The veal cutlet topped with the burrata a fresh salad was wonderful certainly my favorite dish of the night. It’s BYOB which is convenient and the watermelon mocktail was delicious! The meatball appetizer was enjoyable.
The Bad:
This place was extremely quiet, I would say little to no atmosphere, by 9:15pm on a Friday in the middle of the summer we were the last people in the restaurant. Food: the spicy clams were very briney and if you had one that wasn’t well sauced it wasn’t very good. The gnocchi was gummy and over-sauced, again great flavors but not what I have come to expect from gnocchi. The red snapper special was a bit bland and just missing some excitement. The truffle fries were lack luster and needed more truffle flavor and Parmesan.
Overall, we had a nice night out and our waitress was lovely. As I mentioned there’s a lot of potential here but as of now it’s looking like a one and done for us.

We really enjoyed the Calamari appetizer, which was crispy.
Everything else not so great. The Caesar salad was drenched in cheesy dressing and soggy, the risotto was very saucy, the Spaghettini tasted like cheap pasta out of a box and drenched in sauce. At the end of our meal they brough us cookies which weren't restaurant quality. Nothing there seemed fresh baked or fresh made. What a disappointment!!!

Excellent menu we did not plan to have the 3 course special but happy we did. Pear salad outstanding , muscles in broth appetizers recommend. We all had different meals all excellent
Fantastic dining experience. The best Sea Bass I have ever had in my life. The poached pear appetizer was great too. Service was perfect. Highly recommended. We had dined before a show at the Meridian Health Center -- but this is worth a special trip down from North Jersey just for dinner.
