Overpriced, underwhelmed. $27.45 for an order of Shrimp Pad Thai. It lacked peanut taste, was heavy on the fish sauce, too sweet, and somehow tasted heavy like an Americanized version of Pad Thai. The shrimp were fresh, the greens were fresh, but I wouldn't order it again. If I'm going to pay this much, I'm headed to Bamboo Leaf in Bradley Beach. If I want to save money, and get a similar alternative, I would go to Spice Thai Bistro
A fantastic addition to the neighborhood! The café has a truly authentic Thai vibe, and the host was warm and welcoming. We shared papaya salad, flying tiger, beef, duck in tamarind curry, and egg-yolk squid — every dish was unique and delicious. My husband and I love Muang Thai. We always get the panang curry and if you like spice, this dish is a MUST. The pad Thai is the best we’ve had. We usually get takeout and everyone is super friendly. The food in Red Bank is subpar to say the least but this place is a gem.
