Especially wide ranging wine list for a midday meal, fairly priced. Attentive service, but not intrusive.

Pear arugula salad great, Margaret it's pie undercooked- baked ziti was great- poached lobster dish came out just slightly warm- suckling pig dish great- dessert- we had the banana split - oddly the ice cream was way too soft, once it was in plate turned to soup- besides ice cream should be served in a bowl not a plate. Cocktails were delish and service fantastic- we ate in the glass enclosed room- extremely noisy - we have eaten here 2 other times and do plan to come for lunch and try burger

Wow, the quality of the food has steadily declined these past few years with each visit. Change of chef? With the past two visits we were given the same table, in the enclosed "outdoor" dining area. This is right next to the highway and it is distractingly loud at dinner time with the glass panels open. On this last visit the staff closed the panels- threat of rain- and the highway noise levels were reduced noticably. Needless to say, the sound of open exhaust Harleys accelerating form the stop light takes away from the dining experience. As for food, we started with the Crudite, my wife's favorite. This time it had little flavor and the vegetables seemed less than fresh. For the entre I had the PEI Mussels- they were small, dry, and worse- slightly sandy (have to clean them better). One of the baguettes served was clearly burnt on the bottom. Like black charred toast. My son had the Mahi Mahi and that too was dry and lacking flavor. Another son had the NY Strip Steak and that was clearly the winner of the evening. He ordered medium rare and it was cooked more like a medium- but he enjoyed it thoroughly. We have decided not to return to Barrel & Roost.

Second time coming here and they haven't disappointed! Service is great, ambience is cool! Food was delicious. Was able to try a bunch of different thing, and it's 100% worth it. The upside blueberry cake was CHEFS KISS

Wonderful dining experience! Thank you for all the wonderful food. We loved apps (burrata, veggie platter with hummus) and all entrees (halibut, mahi mahi, and short rib), and especially the ice creams! Our fav is always the bourbon chocolate coffee and we enjoyed it immensely - thank you :-)

Dinner Friday evening was delicious. We shared some East Coast Oysters, Diner #1 had the Mahi Mahi w/ whipped potatoes, I had the NY Strip with fries. Both dinners cooked to perfection. Lauren, our server, was excellent.

Food is consistently good. Wine and drink menu has great choices, bartenders make great old fashions and the staff is well trained. Barrel and roost never disappoints. A well oiled machine!

If I could, I would go there everyday for lunch or dinner. I appreciate the great service, attention to detail, food is amazing as well as drinks, and the music is a plus.

We had a wonderful evening. Both the outdoor and indoor areas are beautiful spaces. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. Our food, as always, was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

Very good cucumber Margharita. The cocktails and food are consistant. Really liked my Mahi Mahi with bok choy and coconut rice. Our waitress was attentive and got the food out fast, since we were with children. I would like to see a lower calorie dessert once in awhile. We skipped dessert because we felt too heavy for summer. I know Ice cream and gelato is on the menu, but I think I was looking for a light cake or pie for the summer.

It was our 10th wedding anniversary after having been married at Nicholas. The staff took due notice and were exceedingly gracious. We had a wonderful time.

The service was terrible. Couldn't get an egg scrambled instead of an omelette. Food came out cold. I thought Nicholas held his restaurant to a higher standard. It was excellent years ago and has been going downhill with each visit. So disappointed as I brought two other couples and they too were so disappointed in the service and food quality.

The place was way too loud. I couldn't hear anything my friend was saying. The chairs were very uncomfortable. The amount of food for the price was not worth it. Won't be back.
