The change of menu was so disappointing. The service was outstanding but the food, price, and additional charge using credit card killed it for us. It was always our first restaurant to visit, not anymore.
Bistro is my go to place, it has been for years! Sorry some of the old favorites are gone, Pear and Roquefort salad, Poke bowl, etc. Love the new chicken dish!!! One of the best additions! The Filet Mignon on a skewer, not so good. Tried it last night. Meat was way too over cooked, dry and not at all tender. I has asked for it to be cooked medium rare. I was warned it was all cooked the same. Should have listened! The flavor was very good, seasonings excellent. However, for $38 I think a better cut of meat should be used. Will go back to some of my long time favorites.
The Bistro has always been one of my go to restaurants since it opened in Red Bank in the 90's. The menu is now much different than it has been for years. Service was exceptional and our meal was prepared very well. We shared the Rock Shrimp appetizer. I tried the Chicken Scarpareillo which was excellent. My wife enjoyed the Linguine and clams which she enjoyed. Totally different menu and I would urge diners to give it a try.
The food was fresh . Service excellent. Price was good.Nice big windows open to feel like you were outside.I would recommend it.
Went there specifically for their Sushi and Poke Bowl. Unfortunately it is no longer in the menu. However, the food and service were still great!
My wife and I and another couple who are dear friends had dinner before attending a show at the Count Basie Theater. We only had a little over an hour to eat and we enjoyed every minute. Our food was delicious, Destiny was a terrific server and the ambiance was perfect. We will certainly return to Bistro when back in Redbank.
Food & ambiance was good. Server was nice and attentive, but we felt rushed out the door when we asked to see the dessert menus for our table of 4. Was told she'd bring the dessert menus, but we need the table, so it'll have to be quick. Granted it was a Saturday night, but there's a better way to say it to your customers. As a result, we decided against dessert, and likely won't return as a result.
Our reservation was honored on time. Hostess greeted us warmly. Our server, Grace, was attentive and gracious. Food was wonderful, as always. Thank you for always being reliably great -and never feel rushed!
Making a reservation and standing in line at the restaurant that has no where to stand was an unfortunately not a great experience. The menu/specials were minimal.
Truly an amazing Dinner. The homemade Mozzarella Stick Tower Appetizer accompanied with Spicy Marinara was Incredible. Our Rigatoni & Gnocchi Entrees were delicious!! Highly Recommend This Restaurant!! Service Was Spot On & They Had Us Out In Under 60 Minutes So That We Could Catch Our Show!

Bistro Red Bank has been a staple on Broad Street. The menu has something to offer customers with a variety of tastes. We dined on a bunch of the appetizers, which were delicious. The Spanish Styled Shrimps were tasty. The shrimps were big and the sauce was garlicky and light. I dipped the focaccia bread in the sauce and was in heaven. The crackling calamari salad in miso dressing is a favorite of mine too. The Brussel sprouts were yummy too. The menu offers pasta dishes, sushi rolls , poke bowls, brick oven pizza and short ribs too. Bistro is always a winner in my book. We had a great server too, AJ was friendly and attentive. All around great experience.

We’ve loved this place for over 28 years at this point. But $15 for kids pasta - just plain penne with NO butter or sauce, come. on. and the waitress or manager didn’t seem to care how ridiculous that was.
edit: since i can't respond to the response i received - i asked the waitress to adjust and she said that she was unable to, as that was the cost so i asked to speak to the manager, and he sort of shrugged his shoulders and said "yeah, thats what we charge for it" and walked away. we were there for over 10 minutes between waiting for the check and paying - we didn't leave quickly, and we did ask for an adjustment, which no one offered. we still love the bistro, always have, always will...was just disappointed in our experience tonight.
