Service is on-point. Comfortable restaurant for food, drinks, and to watch the game. Very disappointing that they’ve added a credit card convenience fee. Prices are NOT CHEAP here. To add a convenience fee on top is a joke. If your margins are so small that you need an extra few bucks on each check, just raise the menu prices by a small amount and don’t look like you’re nickel and diming your customers.

Came here with the family two couples on a Monday aftn. Really nice vibe . The place is just cool . We grabbed a hi top by the bar. Drinks were great ! Beer , Sangria and a couple of cosmos were all fantastic . Wings were killer and calamari and spinach dip were fantastic . Loved it here .

The location traded under the Tommy's name for several years. At the time, they sold giftcards through Costco. Typical deal: $100 in cards for $80. When they changed their name, they continued to take those cards. Now they say, to quote the hostess: we took those for years but not anymore. That is criminal in New Jersey. You cannot sell giftcards in New Jersey that expire or lose value. In the past, you could get away with that fraud, but it requires specific disclosure. These cards were sold through Costco and they include zero small print or expiration dates. I will report this to the New Jersey Division of Consumer Afffairs. And Costco. In addition, the hostess could not have been more rude. And also, the food is extremely lackluster and inconsistent. That is one reason we let the giftcards sit in a drawer. I will post this completely legitimate complaint across all channels: I hope the fraudulent ploy is worth it, Urban CoalHouse.

I was with a small group of people looking for a place to eat before a business meeting and we decided to stop here. I like to read reviews before I eat somewhere, but didn't have time and happily this place (without seeing a review first) did not disappoint. The coal fired pizza is a different animal than brick oven or wood fired, but just as good in it's own way. It's worth trying if you haven't had it before. Good crust, good char & undercarriage with a good amount of sauce and toppings without being too much or soggy. Dave Portnoy's one bite review gives it an 8.1 and that is fair. I might err downward to 7.7 but that's me. The fried avocado was interesting I've never had it before so I wanted to try it. It was worth the one time try, but I wouldn't get them again. The whole breading and frying process takes the avocado out of the equation. I didn't actually taste the avocado. I could see it and knew it was there, but it had no avocado flavor. Finally, they had a good beer selection. When I travel, I like to try the local beers and this place didn't disappoint. I would like to have more time and not be on business so I could have had more of them. All in all, I had a good experience. If/when I am back in Red Bank, I would absolutely come here again.

I ordered a personal pizza expecting a delicious meal. I received the worse pizza of my life. I paid top dollar for the individual pizza. It was horrible - too salty, too thin, not enough sauce or cheese and burnt. It was like eating burnt crust. Don’t waste your hard earned dollars at this place!

First and foremost the wings are amazing! Best wings around! The eggplant has changed . It use to be breaded now its just floured and fried. It makes a complete difference. We use to get it catered from them but now that they changed it, it’s just not as good. Everything else is still good.

Pizza is excellent! Second time here with my family. We love the food. The pizza is amazing. We especially liked the white pie and buffalo pie.

I brought my mother to Red Bank to have lunch. We chose the Galleria to park and eat as it was close to where we were running a quick errand. We parked the car in the area marked Visitors. We walked toward the street and a man in a Lexus told us that we couldn’t park there unless we were going to The Galleria. I explained that we wanted to eat lunch there after we ran a quick errand. He said the restaurant was closed (The Melting Pot). I said that we’d try the sandwich shop. He said “The restaurants are closed”. So we walked back to the car. As we did so I saw that the Urban Coalhouse was open. We went inside and checked out the menu thinking it would be great for a quick bit so we walked through the restaurant - the back of the Galleria was closer to where we need to run our errand. The same old grouchy man passed us in his Lexus and said that we could not run our 5 minute errand and then eat lunch at this restaurant. He that if we did, he would have our car towed away. I know that you don’t want people parking there and taking the train however I think that it is no coincidence that the restaurants in the Galleria are going out of business with this guy scaring all potential customers away. We took our custom elsewhere because we were made to feel unwelcome by your parking tsar. It’s a shame. And won’t be back. I did inform the very nice woman at your hostess stand what had occurred. She said that it is totally fine to run a quick errand and come and eat there however I didn’t want to risk it because of the nasty man patrolling the parking lot in his Lexus.

Should've read the bad reviews regarding food as they are spot on. Nice staff, kind of old decor, sat outside for early dinner. Calamari was OK, chicken fingers for the kids were inedible. Thought it was the panko crust but tried it myself and it just tasted bad... As in spoiled. Had the margarita pie and also tried the one with prosciutto /arugula. Both were sub par in taste, textures, etc. Couldn't wait to pay and get out of there. $70 down the tube, will never go back again. Too many better choices in the area.

If you’re looking for good brick oven pizza consider this place. The personal pizzas are big enough to serve two especially if you grab an appetizer first. The Don Gregorio has just enough pepperoni and sausage. My wife enjoyed the Brussels sprouts pizza.

Out of business! Another casualty of the 15 an hour wage gotta love the stupidity of it all food business is DEAD in nj!

It's OUT OF BUSINESS! With Stew Leonards opening soon at the opposite end of the mall, hardly anyone would be eating at the soon to be forgotten Urban Coalhouse!

Pizza is decent but I have to give it 1 star because on the two occasions I've been here in the past 6 weeks the service has been poor and the place is filthy. The bathrooms are disgusting, I've seen cleaner bathrooms at truck rest stops. Not dirty because it hasn't been cleaned since the restaurant opened that shift, filthy and grimy like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. If that's what the bathroom looks like then what does the back look like where the public don't get to see? At the most recent visit, my wife ordered pasta which didn't come out until after the other 3 people in the party had almost finished their pizza. Which is almost identical to what happened the last time we were here. I decided to give it a second chance before leaving a review. You've been warned. I won't be back.

Went there tonight, they were out of most of the draft beers. When we asked why we were told they are closing their doors for good on Monday night. Had no idea. Disappointed
