Four of us went to S.Egidio recently for a Wednesday evening dinner. This place usually draws a crowd but we were able to get seated outside immediately. Or server, Anthony, was friendly and efficient. We each had pizza. We ordered four different ones and had a “pizza sharing” meal. It was fun and delicious. The pizza here is extremely good. Went to dinner at S.Egidio and it was soo good as usual (been here at least 5 times). My boyfriend and I ordered the pulpo, the special which happened to be a steak, pasta and a pizza! All amazing! Shout out to our server Jake! Super attentive, not over bearing, communicative and answered all our questions! Planning to go again soon with a group of friends!
Maybe my expectations were too high. The pizza was decent. The under carriage wasn't crispy. The ingredients seemed fresh and taste was slightly above average. The place is small and they really pack you in. My wife had read something about their bread appetizer. So we tried it. I was not impressed. $15 for 4 pieces of bread with a flavorless whipped ricotta. Most itialian restaurants give you bread for free and give you butter. BTW... you can't get butter for your bread....
