Absolutely LOVED Sola Osteria. It was quiet when we first arrived but then picked up and was busy. The owner came over to each table and welcomed everyone and took the orders. What a gem. He was great, his recommendations were spot on and the food was excellent. I felt it was NYC quality and service but in Ridgewood. Perfect addition to Ridgewood and the area. A must try and we will definitely go back.
Was recommended to this restaurant .Liked the ambience but was disappointed with the food . My father-in -law worked in the restaurant of the St Regis Hotel .As a table cloth restaurant the butter should be in patties instead of those rectangular wrappers that are used in this restaurant.
We all thought the Cesar salad was very good . However , the Chicken Parm was deep
fried instead of Pan fried . For a fine dining restaurant it did not meet my standards.

Exceptional Italian in a charming setting. BYOB is great but also some wine selections as well. Short rib was fork tender with deeply flavored sauce. Fish was moist and not dry. Unique variation of minstone, 7 veg and squash forward and not overpowered by broth. Parking deck a step away
