We stumbled unto this diner on the way home to Chicago. We got there before 1pm and we had to wait for a table - about 15 minutes. Once we were seated - we were treated to a delicious meal. I had the yummy chorizo burger with sweet potato fries - YUM. The staff was friendly and provided awesome service.
Classic place to go for breakfast and lunch in Rockaway. It’s small so be prepared to wait if you go at a busy time. The menu is creative and we’ve always enjoyed everything we ordered. One thing to be aware of: even though it’s not on the menu, they do charge for all kinds of little “extras”. For instance, .75 for a small cup of Mayo when ordering a cheeseburger and $2.00 for the same size small cup to have sour cream with a breakfast item.
Food is fantastic, especially their breakfast - generous portions and affordable. The space is on the smaller side so it's fills up quickly. The service is phenomenal! You won't regret it.
