Beyond a doubt - the best cheese burger in NJ. I was totally surprised by the very large, very fresh, prime beef hamburger at Jim Johnston's. The burger and remarkably good and unique sweet potato fries are not to be missed. Do not get thrown off by the 1970's cinder block exterior and interior. The service is great, excellent bar, but the hamburger is pure gold.

I've lived in Livingston for 12 years and wish I tried this place sooner. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Old school vibes, great food, great service, fast, delicious, private.

My family and I had such a great experience here! The food was great and the service was incredible. The staff were so accommodating as extra people had shown up for my aunts birthday. We all appreciated their patience and kindness beyond words can express. Thank you so much !
