“My favorite place to stop at on the lake for an ice-cream. We usually paddle up to the docks on our SUPs (stand up paddleboard). Grab a cone of real (Jefferson Dairy I believe) ice-cream and then back on the lack for some awesome paddling.
Highly recommended for a quick bite, all kinds of tchotchkes, signs, toys, games and a bunch of other stuff that I believe are locally made. It's a must visit, especially for those that want to revisit simpler times.“

“Place is great. Beer is good and both inside and outside are set up well for just hanging out. Their dark lager is very good, breakfast stout was okay. They had a pretty good selection including hard seltzer. A threat of rain pushed the band inside and the event space easily handled the crowd, too bad because the outside area is pretty cool. The only thing I didn't like were the "dutch pours", they don't run the heads off so a few pours were a little light. Nice calendar of bands we'll definitely go back.“

“I specifically wanted their cavatelli and broccoli with grilled chicken, so 3 people ordered take out. in the past I have had this dish several times and it was delish. - on May 6, 2023 i called an order in for pick up. they said 30 minutes, we were there on time and headed to a friends house literally 5 minutes from the restaurant. they had an affair in the place of maybe 40-50 people which was winding down our order: - cavatelli and broccoli and grilled chicken - chicken ceasar wrap with mozzarella and spinach - jersey burger deluxe - 2 rice ball appy - 1 small beef barley soup - 1 order fries -Let's start with the burger, it was good, ordinary but the French fries were limp and cold. - chicken ceasar wrap was horrible. the chicken was processed food not fresh, it had a vinaigrette taste, and it was cold, which in turn did not wilt the fresh very large spinach leaves nor soften the mozzarella. - cavatelli and broccoli with grilled chicken was the absolute worse food I have ever had. it was flooded with oil, very large chunks of garlic and the same disgusting cold processed chicken that they used in the wrap. the broccoli wasn't cooked at all, the entire dish was cold and inedible. went straight to the garbage. - rice balls tasted processed not freshly made and had some kind of coating on the outside which cracked when we attempted to eat them, plus they were not good at all. - side order of fries were the size of a small fry from McDonald's, were limp and cold. - beef barley soup had chunks of beef but very little barley, tasted very ordinary our total was a little over $100.00 with a tip. we will never be back to this place. such a shame they went downhill. we used to love going there. in today's climate you would think a restaurant would do everything to keep customers.“

“First time here, ordered delivery. Kung Pao, steamed dumplings in sesame sauce, garlic chicken, beef on sticks. The only thing we didn't like were the dumplings, just way too sweet on the sauce. My kung pao tasted great, unfortunately it was not hot at all, so no five stars. There were literally no peppers other than 2 or 3 bell pepper slices. Fortunately I was able to correct their mistake with a bunch of arbol chilis. Will be back, guess I'll have to call in to get spicy food.“

“Went to The Minuteman on Sunday just before closing. This is relevant because they sell out of menu specials and staples, like racks of ribs and brisket. I had the pork half rack of ribs, fries, cornbread, and hushpuppies. Ribs were awesome. We got the last 4 racks available, and we were unable to try several other specials due to them being sold out. We sat at the well stocked whiskey/bourbon bar, and the selection is excellent. Ribs were cooked just right with an excellent peppery flavor dry rub. The in-house hot barbecue sauce is a rib topper must! Cornbread was very good, moist, and enough for all 4 of us. In fact, all of the sides were enough to split 4 ways, good portions. Rating is really 4.5, but I'm reserving until I have the brisket, brisket chili, and okra specials. I don't think I'll be disappointed since they sell out so quickly. If you love barbecue, this is a must visit!“
