“I moved from The Bronx to New Jersey four years ago I go to the gym across the street LA fitness .I came here one day and never looked back . They are truly amazing. !!!!!!Their customer service is outrageous. They greet you like your family, They are absolutely Amazing. The bagels are GREAT, Apple turnovers even better , their homemade oatmeal cookies nice and crunchy are perfect but most of all the avocado every time I ask for a sandwich it's ALWAYS ready to eat.“

“Ok so being Google keeps asking me to review here I thought and nice Sunday morning coffee and bagel would be good. There is a big parking lot being it’s part of a shopping center. Walking in no confusion as to where to go to order. Everyone seemed very nice and helpful. I think it took me longer to make my coffee then it took to make and bag my bagel. Let me stop boring you with the BS stuff let’s talk bagel and coffee. I have been to a few bagel shops and I have to say Manhattan Bagel has the softest bagels. I did just get a buttered salt but wow the outside was mildly crunchy but like I said nice and soft in the middle. As far as coffee I tried their fall blend pumpkin spice and it tasted very deluded, not to much taste. They didn’t have French vanilla so I went with the pumpkin. Would I go back 100% the bagel was fantastic“

“One of the best bagel places in town. Here for $10, I can actually get cream cheese and a good serving of lox on a bagel, and even add onion and tomato on it. Normally, I'd have to go to NYC or make it myself to get a good cream cheese and lox. Also, based on one of the other reviews, I tried the Fat Marlena. Great breakfast or brunch wrap if you want something filling and not greasy. If you want something lightly sweet to take home, their French Toast bagels are great toasted with butter. (we had them with some maple butter on hand from a farmers market, and it was a-maz-ing!) Not in the mood for a bagel today? They have tons of other great breakfast options all under $10!“

“Great breakfast sandwich options for less. Called ahead every time and without fail, my order was ready to go every time I walked in. We enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant as well as plain bagels with cream cheese. The coffee was also nothing to scoff at either. We definitely enjoyed our breakfast, so much so that we went back the next day. And for the price, you can't beat it. Definitely better than what you will get at the nearby hotels and for less.“

What really stood out during my visit was the service. Wael, the gentleman working the front counter, was exceptionally polite, attentive, and patient. His attention to detail and willingness to listen closely to my order, especially as someone who likes to customize their breakfast sandwiches, this was refreshing. In many bagel spots, staff can seem rushed or distracted, but Wael made the experience easy.

Whether you're a classic bacon-egg-and-cheese kind of person or someone who likes to get a little creative with your sandwich, Bagel 1 delivers quality without the chaos. The spot is low-key, but the flavor is next level.

“Attention Bagel Bazaar Milltown customers I found Hector!! Hes at the former crazy bagels east brunswick next to the bakery and not only are the bagels delicious as they should be he made me breakfast this morning and as usual perfect. He seems the only person I know that listens when someone wants fried soft eggs Thumanns ham sliced thin with cheese on a buttered bagel absolutely delicious. Im so happy they brought him back and you gotta go seem him you won't be disappointed. Ill be going back daily. Thank you to the owner 🙏 😊 ☺️“

“I don’t typically leave reviews, but this place is great. I am in town for business and have heard a lot about “New Jersey bagels”. Not only did I receive a fantastic bacon egg & cheese but the gentleman behind the counter separates this place from others. He could tell I was in a bit of a rush and was conscious of my time while still delivering the quality that people talk about. I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back.“

“This is an incredible neighborhood gem! I saw this place was recommended on NextDoor so when I was in Monroe, NJ for a doctors appt on Thurs. 1/29, I made a point to stop here. I ordered a cappuccino(or maybe a latte, I can't remember) and the #5 breakfast caprese. Both were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Coffee drink had cinnamon added which was an extra sieve all touch. And they brought both to my table. It was a bit in the pricier side but the portions and food quality made it worth it. Highly recommend! Just wish I lived closer! I want to try their perogis.“

The bagels were really good (like bagels are supposed to be…dense and chewy not bread shaped into o’s) and the ladies behind the counter could both have been nicer! Worth a visit!! “$3 Nonsense fees when you order online for pickup. For a $13.75 order, I am charged an extra $3 or so. Why am I penalized for choosing NOT to phone in? Most restaurants view phone-in calls as costly and occupying staff time. It's my fault for not noticing before I placed the order. I used the website Preferred By Business, which is usually their POS vendor site, which should have the lowest expense for the shop. Lesson learned, call in your order. Side note, their breakfast sandwich has 2 thin slices of pork roll and 1 slice of cheese. It was pathetic. Bagel was fine.“

“I always had Dunellen Bagel when I lived there and it’s the best bagel I’ve ever had. I moved and bagels aren’t the same here so everytime I visit Jersey I have to go to Dunellen Bagel and I have my husband addicted too. He’s never tasted a bagel like this and he was amazed. So we bring bagels back home in our carry-on and freeze them at home. I would 100% definitely recommend this place!“

“Really awesome bagels! Typical bagel shop / deli fare. I like the variety of bagels - they have everything, egg everything and a whole wheat everything! Their multi-grain and french toast bagels are awesome too. Great food. Cooks prepare the food correctly. The staff are very friendly, it shows when they are rushed or stressed, but otherwise they are welcoming and thank us for coming in. It looks like some reviewers have complained about the staff, but the staff always welcome us when we walk in the door, they are kind, friendly and joke around with us. You cant ask for better! The coffee is great! Tasty and fresh, I love some of the flavored beans, but they don't always have every flavor available. Chicken salad and tuna salad and other lunch options are also very tasty.“

“I always look for bagel places when I am roaming the state of NJ. There is good parking out front of the store. Getting in and out from the highway is a bit tricky. I went at lunchtime so it was not super busy. Odd setup inside makes it hard to order. Service was good. The bagel was very good.“
