This place has seen better days, the food is average at best. Maybe it's time to retire and go fishing.

I was driving down Main Street to find a spot to park and found a spot right in front of this restaurant. Once I stepped out my car, one of their frequent customers or owner stepped outside and started telling me that I'm not allowed to park there because according to them it was their parking spot for their elderly customers. I checked for any signs and not one sign in sight saying this was for the restaurants customers only or an accessible parking spot. I explained to the man that there was absolutely no parking around and my nail salon was across the street. He then proceeded to scold me because I refused to move my car from the space even though its public parking. He threatened to call the cops on me and get my vehicle towed and I told him to go ahead and call but the cops won't do anything because its public parking. The cops walked into the salon and told me to ignore him since it happens often. I just want to warn everyone to be careful around that restaurant because they're very rude.

Best pork roll egg and cheese sandwich in NJ ! Seafood is on point and you won’t be broke. Little John is a Sayreville legend !

The scallop sandwich and the flounder sandwich are great. The Cole slaw is awesome.

Very local place. Had a nice conversation with the owner. Plenty of variety. Usual daily fare plus seafood

Came here for the 1st time and it was not a good experience. Ordered a cheesesteak, mozzarella sticks and a shrimp, flounder, scallops platter to-go. The platter didn’t come with any scallops even though I had ordered them, the shrimp were too fishy tasting and they only gave the smallest one ounce cup of tarter sauce. On top of that, NONE of my sister’s mozzarella sticks had cheese inside. We won’t be rushing back here that’s for sure. Better off going to Keyport Fishery or somewhere else with a similar menu

More than enough to eat leftovers +

Little John's seafood is the bomb. The shrimp & scallop platter is so fresh and not over fried. You wont get fresher fish unless you caught it yourself. Great hometown people. Cant beat the prices anywhere. Give them a shot.

At the first moment you enter that restaurant the waiters give you a good feeling. Very hospitable crew, it is a good restaurant to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. tasty cooking, creative chef, reasonable price and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

This place knows how to please their customers. Consistently with a very friendly demeanor. The food is reasonably priced, regularly delicious and clean.
