I didn’t have anything to eat, so I cannot coment, on that. Amy was a great hostess my first time in the bar she included me in conversations and made me feel at home. I went there to visit a piece of history. It did not disappoint. I did have a good time.
This is the oldist bar in New Jersey. I had the crab cakes and liked them very much. The wait staff was helpful andcame by several times to make sure we were doing fine and to see if we needed anything else. We chose to eat inside even though it was a beautiful evening. They have a veterans discount. They asked me when they saw my hat and asked if I was a veteran and told me about the discount. I bought one of thier beer glasses to take home It was empty.
Was in for a girls night , have been in a few times prior and usually get the same thing , don’t know what’s going on recently but even after talking with both our server and another waitress the chef completely disregarded our wishes after making my buratta salad not only different once but TWICE after I declined to both Brian and the other waitress that I no longer wanted it , mind you this was the head chef who was preparing it , I felt so bad for the servers...
