Speakeasy is the OG pizza/sandwich spot on LBI. I have been visiting my entire life and my family and I were so happy when Chris and his family opened it back up after it was sadly closed for several years. The pizza/sandwiches and ingredients are always fresh and so good. The staff is always so welcoming and kind and we look forward to visiting every summer! Speakeasy is a perfect laid back vibe for lunch or a quick dinner.
Bruschetta pie was good, but there was barely any bruschetta on it. My usual place loads it up. I mean tomatos are in peak in Jersey over the summer and at great prices. They were out of wings, so suggested chicken tenders instead. 12 wings ≠ 3 Tenders with fries, soggy fries. Staff was friendly, but not enough to get me to go back. So yeah, guess I'll try another place on the island next time.
Arrived 30 mins before closing with our family of 12 including littles. With no hesitation, took our pies, salads, and pasta orders. Served as ready and all were excellent. Will absolutely go back for the thin crust pizza cooked extra crispy.
