I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. The restaurant itself is super nice and cozy while being spacious, but oh man the food is unreal. We had the meatballs (so big and flavorful and smothered in sauce), the mushroom pizza which was loaded with mushrooms, super flavorful and unique. Also got the vodka pizza which was really great, we got extra vodka sauce on the side so we could really drown it and loved it. A huge cookie. $5… average price for this day and age (but it’s also a decent size cookie).A secret tip: towards the end of the night, they’ll obviously start running low on stock. So either try going earlier, or order ahead. I say a secret tip because my husband and I ordered ahead. (The first time we went, they did not have any fancier flavors left; so we just ended up leaving.) This time, we were smarter and ordered ahead and also were able to get to the location around 9:30 pm. (Compared to the 10:30 first time).“

“***4 1/2 stars**I'm not sure how crazy I am about this place being a few blocks from where I live, but I suppose that's not Mo & Jay's fault. I've been aware of this bakery/pastry establishment for a few years (I think it showed up in this relatively new apartment building on Main Street two or three years ago), but hadn't actually thought to go inside until yesterday morning. I was entrusted with obtaining a dessert for a weekend BBQ, and it occurred to me that this was at least the easiest spot to quickly grab something. The fact that the desserts were extremely good ended up being a pleasant accident/bonus.I brought one of my top tier chums to assist with the purchase. From very brief research, it seemed like the eclairs were the big selling point here. I thought it would also be a little wily on my part to get them because I tend to not enjoy eating food that has stuff in it, and figured I'd be unlikely to do anything too naughty with that. That turned out not to be accurate, but I digress. We got the five for $25 éclair deal, and procured a raspberry, a lemon meringue, a nutella, a pistachio and a cookies & cream. Just as we were about to wrap up, I also impulsively grabbed a cheddar/bacon scone, which was humongous and understandably caught my eye.The eclairs were definitely a hit. My personal favorite was the cookies & cream. The flavor was incredibly on point, and it was almost like a meta ice cream experience. The only issue with that one specifically was that the cream inside was runnier than the other pastries, which made it a little messy. Not a huge deal. The runner-up was probably the raspberry for me. Again, extremely flavorful, almost to a fault - it was overwhelmingly tart, which is obviously kind of a calling card for raspberries but if you're not into that, I'd stay away. The nutella was actually a little on the bland side for me but not bad. The lemon meringue was a big hit for everyone else, but I'm not a huge fan of that flavor to begin with - I don't think that's a mark against this place by any means. In hindsight, we probably wouldn't have gotten the pistachio, but none of us are hardcore pistachio fans. The cream consistency and dough for all of these was very high quality, and understandably a lot of this is going to come down to how you feel about specific flavors.In a final twist later on, I sampled the scone around dinner time and was very pleasantly surprised - the scone was very moist and tasty, and was reminiscent of a Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit, though probably at least twice the size and with actual pieces of bacon in it. Very strong recommend on that front.The service was very good. We had a pleasant female cashier assisting us as my chum was literally squatting on the ground eagerly peering into the display case squealing out flavors to get. Zero issues there, and we were in and out within a few minutes uneventfully. There were also a lot of cakes and other types of pastries, so I expect I'll be returning shortly to obtain their assistance with another BBQ.“

I got a couple of loaves of fig and walnut bread that were discounted, and almond croissant that another customer convinced me to get, a turkey Brie and apple sandwich and I had actually ordered two croissants but for some reason they didn’t make it in my bag. I think there was a misunderstanding with the other customer; no matter, an excuse to return! The sandwich bread (a mini French baguette) was surprisingly crisp on the outside and didn’t at all get soft when I returned home 1.5 hrs later to enjoy it. Everything just looks and smells good. I look forward to returning.“

I've tried the scones, royal frosted cookies, and now the lemon loaf (GF) and have loved them all. It does tend to be busy but the staff is friendly and moves you on through. There is limited outdoor seating nearby so plan to bring your goodies outside or to the car. Prices are not listed for pastries and it isn't cheap - but I say worth it!“

“Authentic Greek food down to the water. Super professional Gyros. Everything was delicious and Fresh. I tried a chicken Gyro and a Lamb Gyro. Both were the best i’ve ever had. The meat was seasoned perfect and tender. Gyros were filled to the max and were very filling with tzatziki sauce, lettuce , tomato , onion and even some French fries. I also had fried Lobster claws with a Remoulade sauce over cabbage slaw which was absolutely phenomenal and a chicken Souvlaki platter which was just as good as everything else. I didn’t make it to dessert but they had plenty of options from salads , Gyros, Greek platters and even flatbreads. I will definitely be back to try other things. You walk in and aside from the squad of friendly workers at both main counters you'll first encounter the amazing breads (and treats). All the shapes, styles and sizes your carb-loving heart desires will be found on one of these racks. Expertly made... dense, sturdy, flavorful, with a mighty crust (that'll give your Fixodent a workout!). Take a few steps towards the 'back' and now you're at the deli and it's overflowing with options. Each item looks bewitching and alluring and before you can even finish saying, "A pound of..." - somehow it's already sliced and bagged and the guy is waiting on the next item you need. (Maybe it's that luscious square of eggplant parm that they've intentionally left "posed" on top of the spatula or the Italian hot dog platter or that mountain of sauteed broccoli rabe that you know it's going to have that perfect 'bite'.) And as soon as you get home you immediately start crafting what's to be a most perfect sandwich with their seeded semolina, fresh ball of mootz (so creamy and delectable), and a few other odds-and-ends you snagged. Thank goodness this town is big enough for more than one amazing Italian deli and I don't have to pick which is my all-time fave.“

It seems that they worked hard to improve the customer service yet i encountered one female employee at the bakery section that had an attitude, for absolutely no reasons, during one of my two visits . Other employees were neutral, they are just here to take your order and give you the box and that's it. No welcoming atmosphere, no good morning, no smiles, just the "Hi, how can i help you" or "next".Maybe because the bakery is always super busy employees are a little stressed, but even if this is the case, with little training they can be more professional and show some warm hospitality. Customers usually perceive a bakery as their own kitchen area, they step in anticipating the warmth of own place, especially early in the morning when they need good vibes at the start of a new fresh day. And this is mutual by the way, like if employees share a smile or a warm greeting they will also be rewarded a warm smile back and this will automatically boost their moods and take away all the workload stress. Overall, i liked the quality customer service at the deli section more than the bakery section. At the deli counter, employees were keen on answering my questions patiently as it was my first visit. While at the bakery section, they are acting like robots with a pokerface, they hurry you up and as i mentioned above, get an attitude that instantly makes you feel uncomfortable and sorry about coming here at 6 a.m. in the morning. So, this is my sincere advice in this department. As for the food quality, they need to improve their sandwiches as they lack this one magic touch that makes all the difference. Their sandwiches are typically made based on the classic catalog instructions; very straight forward process that you personally can prepare, even better, at your own kitchen. As for the bakery pastry, it was fresh and come in many varities. Some items were good like the Crème brûlée, but it had a strong egg taste! The cannoli was really good, so was the old fashion no sugar roll and the cinnamon roll. I tried the pastéis de nadas but i personally found it below average. I also tried the almonds orange cup but it tasted like cherry medicine instead, with zero almonds orange flavor! The pecan roll was good. The curved crescent roll was way better in taste than the straight croissant, no clue why! I might try the white napoleon next time. Overall, the best of the bakery section is by all means the melhada bread; no fat, no sugar, no dairy and no yeast. THIS, i will stay loyal to, period. Other than that, i would go grab one or two pastry items from time to time and until they improve the quality of sandwiches, i don't think i would try them again. Yet, i must say "Thanks" to the smiley friendly welcoming ladies at the deli section.“
