We recently got catering from Mauli for our Ganesh Puja celebrations and the food was awesome! We ordered Kothambir Wadi, Misal and Masale Bhat, and everything was delicious. The ambience is decent and service on Saturday afternoon was prompt, but the food falls short of expectations. The Pomfret Thali delivers on flavor, yet the portion size is noticeably stingy for $28. Far worse is the Pav Bhaji—it is completely disappointing, consistency-wise and taste-wise resembling basic tomato soup rather than an authentic dish. It seems no restaurant in the Tri-State area can make a true Mumbai-style Pav Bhaji.
It is good place to try Maharashtra cuisine. I have visited twice in a week. Probably it is only indian restaurant that offers many seafood options. I am not from Maharashtra but I always wanted to try different cuisines. It is definitely different to my taste buds but I do like it, it was not as spicy as I have learned from YT. They have put some love making the food unlike some restaurants simple toss things and call it a dish. Many people might not be aware of this restaurant...
