Very disappointed at the fact that you guys use restaurant depot frozen breaded wings for your fried jerk wings. For me that's enough to not come back not even for your delicious sides. And what happened to the beef empanada

My partner and I love trying new places, so him picking me up from work, we decided to try this place. Who doesn’t love some good soul food.
Being from the Caribbean, it’s nice to find jerk and oxtails. Let’s get into it.
I wanted the oxtail empanadas BUT they didn’t have any 😭😭 We ordered fried shrimp and fried jerk shrimp. It was okay to me but the jerk just felt like they drizzled sauce on the shrimps. My boyfriend had jerk chicken with yams and mac and cheese. Though it’s not the authentic jerk chicken, it was very flavourful and delicious. The candied yam had the right combination of not too sweet but not bland either. The tilapia with collard greens and green beans. The collard greens were a bit salty honestly and the greens beans tasted like they used some of the water from the collards to cook it ( my opinion). Honestly, the tilapia was kinda bland.
Overall the service was good. Lovely family but I don’t see me running to this spot to say yes this is the one.
The taste was amazing and they were so friendly. I really enjoyed my food.

Disappointing! I called to order take out & was put on hold for a very long time! I was just going to hang up! I ordered Jerk chicken with yams & string beans. I confirmed the side orders with whoever answered the phone. Upon bringing the meal home, there were no yams (sweet potatoes) & rice was there instead. We do not eat rice! The string beans were limp & soggy & seemed like they were from a can, & they did not have sesame seeds on them as described on the menu. Very dissatisfied with this dinner & we will not be coming back! 😝

I am absolutely appalled at what we call “Soul Food” nowadays. I blindly order chicken wings platter and catfish platter figuring that it’ll be delicious as it may go to orders. As I open the box I met with danger. Walmart chicken wings, no seasoning whatsoever, a not to mention their not even FULL WINGS, WINGETTES!! Mac and yams felt like they had no love in it just there to support. Don’t get me started on the catfish, 1 PIECE OF FISH?! I spent $22 on that platter and I get a single piece is crazy to me. $53 felt like a waste would have saved my money, might as well had eaten fast food.

The food was delicious! The only thing I didn't like was all the bones in the salmon. I had to spit them out. Overall nice place to get soul food that doesn't have meat in EVERYTHING. This is a place Pescatarian can come to enjoy. Yes I will be back for more. 😍

I went to school in Savannah Georgia, so I take my southern comfort and soul food very serious. This was as close as it gets. I loved the corn bread and the chicken. My only request is corn fritters
