To the owner responding to the negative comments, beloved…. focus on the ones who are not here to waste your time! Been coming to both Amazing taste locations for some years. South bound brook location is closer to me and THANK YOU GOD. Everything that I’ve tried is a hit. They have the audacity to put garlic parm seasoning on the menu now and new flavors for their pudding desserts. You go Amazing Taste! Man when I tell you I NEVER had soul food like this!!!!! From the Whiting, Mac & cheese, and the yams were so GOOD and seasoned perfectly. I’ve been to many soul food restaurants but when I tell you not like this, trust me! They definitely live by their name AMAZING TASTE!

I have searched far for a "real" soul food restaurant.. My searched has ended. This food is hands down the best soul food I have tasted in over a decade. They even cook Ox Tails here!!! And no PORK!!!

Amazing Taste is the perfect name for this restaurant! I stopped in. I know when for lunch if I was working nearby. When I tell you that the food was amazing and it's not an exaggeration. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned to perfection. To mention the portion sizes were enough for me to eat off of it twice. Good healthy soulfood is what I would call it. Nothing was greasy or oversalted. Each item was cooked with loving hands and you could tell by the flavor and the presentation. This platter was jerk chicken with string beans, yams, and I added a side of macaroni and cheese. I also indulged in a lemonade and banana pudding which were both delicious. I stopped in again the next day for lunch while I was in town. Anytime I'm in the area I will definitely go back. Please treat yourself to some great soul, food and support this family-owned business. Amazing food and the young lady who took my order was very gracious and appreciated the fact that I was enjoying the food so much. Great food! Not sure why Google would not let me add the photos but it looked as good as it tasted!.

The food is a bit pricey. I was surprised to learn that it appeared as if Mexicans were cooking sould food. I have never seen any descendants of American slavery cooking spanish/mexican food in a local restaurant. Outside of commercial hotels and airports. Well that's my honest review.
