Honestly, I can't say anything nasty about the restaurant, infact they are just perfect ?. The food, the soup and the meat are delicious ?. I will come and come again ?

Sorry but the flavours were bland and not authentic at all. They are catering for the international pallet. But service was super nice and they do their own delivery.

As an Indian, I’ll say that I liked the food a lot. But the thing is they did not have many options or variety. Whatever food they did have tasted very good though. Buffet costs $13.99. Price is very reasonable. The place itself is decently sized. It may seem small the outside but it is a very good size on the inside.

Bayleaf has some negative person dealing with customers who has no listening skills or customer care. I ordered on their bayleafnj site and when I called the person who answered said that my order was for pickup only. When corrected that I had indeed selected delivery, added my address and whatnot, the guy was rude and dismissive. The facts are that the business website allowed me to select delivery with no mention of a minimum. Rather than saying anything along the lines of “Apologies for our site error. The minimum actually is ($) could you please order more or we will need to cancel the order” or anything true and professional, Instead this person lied and said they didn’t have a delivery driver! Pure Lie. He was literally about to hang up without any resolution attempt when I asked for a refund with this crude person but I HAVE YET TO SEE THE REFUND OR THE CONFIRMATION THAT THE ORDER WAS EVEN CANCELLED. There’s more to the disrespect but I’m abridging the story if you can believe it. Having a business outright lie to me to deny basic accountability is majorly off-putting. This is not energy I want around my meal.If you want quality Indian cuisine nearby, redirect your attention to JALWA IN MONTCLAIR. I’ve ordered from them and time after time the food has been delicious, flavorful, and generous. JALWA has the ABSOLUTE BEST VEGETABLE KORMA I’VE HAD ANYWHERE. My advice: Go there instead. Bayleaf feels like gentrified, westernized impression of Indian (not very redefined. More the growing status quo) And after dealing with their staff I’m sure my money is better invested in a place that respects their customer and is a good place to eat.

Loooovvvedd it! The food here is spectacular! It definitely hit the spot ?. The service was great, and they were very attentive. I love that they don't rush their patrons, which some restaurants tend to do. I was able to sit down, savor my food, and catch up with my friend. Didn't even get to take pics of my food to share, I immediately dug right in ?. The food smelt and tasted amazing. 10/10, you should check it out.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian and vegan options as well.

Everytime I come with a friend I always tell them to start with Buttered chicken. The food here is so good. The staff is very professional. The resturant is so clean. I been to this location many times and today will not be the last time.

This was our first time ordering take-out from Bay Leaf and we were honestly underwhelmed with our experience. We ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala, House Special Chicken Biryani, Garlic Naan, Aloo Paratha and two Mango Lassi’s. The Tikka Masala was goo, but the chicken was dry and on the harder side. The Aloo Paratha had no flavor whatsoever. The naan was doughy and to only include an 8oz rice with an entree isn’t enough. The mango lassi was good but to spend $59 and not be totally satisfied is disappointing. We’ve dined in before and had a much better experience and the food also tasted much fresher. I was hoping for a much better experience especially for my 40th birthday.

I love going to Bayleaf, service is always good and the restaurant is very clean and warm inside. I like that I can eat and not feel rushed some of my go to and favorite dishes are the chicken 69, the mango lassi, lamb saag, and garlic cheese Naan.
