Food and service is excellent! May the hostess is always pleasant and extremely friendly! The food is extremely good and very reasonable for what you're getting. Sushi is always fresh and they offer great combinations of rolls for you to choose from. So far I've had their shrimp tempura, spider Boston and California rolls, Nabeyaki soup, gyoza and of course the seaweed salad. The place is on the end of a very tiny strip mall so be on the lookout and wait for May to greet you! A great place for japanese food. There are many different options including sushi, sashimi, udon, bento boxes, teriyaki, tempura, katsu, etc.. Come hungary if you choose the all you can eat option!! The AYCE includes many types of rolls (including hand rolls), sashimi, tempura, katsu, and appetizers. The staff are friendly, and professional. Harusame has been a regular place to eat for me and my friends.As of 1/1/24 no more AYCE.

The food writ large was mediocre; my King Dragon roll's sauce was clearly from a tube, and my boyfriend's yaki udon was mediocre at best. But the nigiri. My GOD. That fish was so fresh and well-prepared that I saw angels. I wish I'd gotten the sashimi, because it would've been proportionally more fish.Overall: Go here for sushi. Not the fancy stuff. Get the nigiri, or the sashimi. They do one thing and they do it well.

The waitress was nice and attentive. I only got vegetable rolls (Cucumber Avocado, Sweet Potato), but they were good, and you could see the care put into the rolls. For the rolls they each had a dollop of sauce in the center of each roll. Prices are good. Only thing was that the tea got really bitter toward the bottom, which for 2 people, happened quickly.
First time here. We shouldn't have waited. All the dishes were fresh and sizable. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Went to an early dinner with our son who is a student at Seton Hall before heading to a basketball game at the Prudential Center. Small place where parking can be a challenge. Ordered promptly - tried the edamame and gyoza to start - very fresh and tasty. 2 of us had the sushi dinner and the other one tried a couple of the special rolls. All was very good - staff is very nice. Recommend if you are in the area.

The food here was delicious. For starters I ordered the pork ribs, which were so tender and the meet melted off the bone. For entree I had a spicy tuna roll with avocado, a shrimp tempura roll and Jersey roll. My favorite was the Jersey roll it was so delicious. Even the green tea was perfect I would definitely come here again. My new favorite sushi spot.

Harasume has done it again! Catered from them for a party again and it was a crowd pleaser! I ordered the Academy boat for 5 and GE Bridge for 2, added some additional sushi, sashimi & rolls to help fill in.Exceptional service and they let me borrow the boat/bridge to take home. Everyone loved the meal!
