Havana Bay Cuban Restaurant & Bar

Came here for a suprise dinner from my fiancé after he had proposed earlier that day. It was about 45 of us reserved seating and service was just OUTSTANDING from Chris letting my fiancé and sisters set up, decorate etc. They checked on us through out the night, there was also a dj there. The food and drinks were on point! Definitely recommend it. Everyone had an amazing time!

This is not authentic food at all. Take the drive to North Jersey to try real Cuban food.Rice- off white color and blandBlack beans- under cooked and blandSkirt steak- salty and did not taste good.No surprise the place was empty on New Years.

I did take out today. I ordered the Pollo Amado a la plancha with yellow rice and black beans.I was very disappointed. The chicken was bland only the skin was seasoned. The yellow rice you can tell came out the box. There was no seasoning. The black beans taste like it was out of the can and heated. No salt pepper onions etc. Nothing!! I did not get cuban feel from the dish I ordered.I may give another try , but no time soon.

On 10/9/2021 went to Havana Bay for the 2nd time. It was not as good as the 1st time. My daughter & I got the marinated pork. It was dry, mine had cold parts, & I ask for plantains. My husband had a shrimp with peppers & onions. It was supposed to be over rice. He got beans no rice. He had to ask for rice. They brought him a bowl of rice. The service was lousy. The waitress did not come & ask us if we needed any drinks or anything. I bragged about this place when we were there the 1st time. Not anymore.We were very disappointed in the food & service.I hope the food & service get better.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't be more happy they did. This will be my new spot for Cuban food and drinks! Excellent ambience, great staff, and their new fall drinks were very refreshing. I had the Churrasco, recommended to me by the oh so wonderful general manager Brianna, and it was cooked to perfection! Highly recommend this place, especially on Weekends! New King in town?

I’m giving the bar manager Chris Losavio a 5 star review. Always accommodating, very polite & makes sure all guests are taken care of! I definitely come back to see Chris.- Need a bigger selection of alcohol- Need real Cuban food. Some stuff is very good and other dishes are dry and not flavorful.

I have visited this restaurant since they opened and even recommended this place to others. I usually come with 5 or more people and spend lots of money on food and drinks. Today I was extremely disappointed and will never eat or recommend them to anyone as the service I got today was a great disappointment. I made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 11 people about two weeks ago for this upcoming Saturday 10/16 and received a call today, two days before my party that if I don’t change my reservation for two hours earlier that they would have to cancel.. if I accepted the reservation for six o’clock I would have to rush to get my party party out by 8:00 pm because the tables were reserved. They didn’t even attempt to accommodate me unless I changed my reservation to two hours earlier which I could not do because I have guests that work. I told the gentlemen to cancel and I will never eat or recommend to anyone to book a reservation because they cannot be trusted to follow through. We eat a lot and spend a lot on alcohol beverages and they lost a lot of money. I don’t recommend this place to anyone at all..especially with making reservations.. bad business …Lucky from Piscatway

Food was delicious. Loved the Empanadas. Chris did a great job making recommendations and explaining menu items I wasn't familiar with. Look forward to eating here again soon.

Amazing Staff , Great Food and Great drinks

The tostones did not pass the vibe check. It needed some salt and garlic. They got no guac. The sandwiches where good. The frijoles negros soup was good. The restaurant is attractive.

We went here for dinner and the restaurant is beautifully decorated and welcoming when you enter. We ordered the wings which were dry and overcooked they came with a sauce that didn't look appetizing nor did it taste it. I got steak with plantains and rice. The steak was delicious rice was salty and the plantains were overcooked not soft at all. My husband got the seafood soup which he said was good but salty. Our waitress was not friendly at all and rushed us when ordering. She seemed to be bothered when asking for refills or for a side she forgot to bring out. We were a party of 4 and they automatically added gratuity for 4 people??? The service alone didn't deserve that kind of tip. We looked forward going here but we will definitely not be returning.
