“I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews, but the Panera Bread at Overlook Hospital truly deserves a shoutout. This team goes above and beyond in a setting where the stakes are high and the pace never lets up. Working in food service is hard anywhere, but here, they’re serving busy doctors, patients with special dietary needs, and families under stress, and they do it with grace, care, and a smile.

I’ve watched staff members go out of their way to find soft foods for someone with swallowing issues or track down a comforting cup of hot tea for a patient. These may seem like small things, but they make a huge difference in a hospital setting. The warmth, efficiency, and humanity of this team stand out, and I just wanted to say thank you. You’re doing a great job.“

So imagine our surprise yesterday when we stopped into A Legna Wood Fired Pizza and after the VERY first bite, we looked at each other and just smiled.

This Margherita pizza was hands down the BEST pizza we’ve had in New Jersey, and trust me, we’ve tried pizza spots all over the state!

The crust, the sauce, the fresh mozzarella… absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for amazing pizza, do yourself a favor and stop by! And bonus: they’re BYOB too! 🍷🍕“

“I love Panera!! The food is good as it always is. What made our visit really memorable was the staff member Misheel (please forgive me if I spelled your name wrong!) who made absolutely sure our food was satisfactory. When we picked up our food, he made sure we knew that we could come to them with any concerns or questions. I got up at one point to get some butter for my bread and some dressing for my salad, and he was super accommodating. He also came by to check on us as we were eating. Really stellar service, I’m super impressed!“

“Good atmosphere and great food“

“We recently visited the newly renovated Thai Society originally Splash of Thai and really liked the new look. The restaurant has a cozy, elegant feel, and since the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed dining outside.

We ordered the tom yum soup, shrimp Pad See Ew, chicken green curry, mixed vegetables, Thai iced tea, and butterfly tea. The food was flavorful and delicious, although both drinks were much sweeter than we expected.

One suggestion: ask about any promotions before ordering. During our visit, the 25% discount applied only to the main menu—not the lunch menu or a combination of the two. The drinks were advertised as 50% off, but we were later told that discount only applied if food was ordered from the lunch menu. That wasn’t explained to us beforehand, and the policy was a bit confusing.

Parking is easy, with a lot behind the restaurant, street parking, and additional parking at the train station across the street.

Overall, we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the outdoor seating. We’d definitely come back.“

“You can set your watch to this place making great Chinese food. Always hits at lunch time and the people that work there couldn’t be more friendly. My go to is chicken and broccoli. Highly recommend if you want a solid, no frills meal for a reasonable price.“

“I'm in NJ for a business trip I wanted a place I could get an itemized receipt. They do have them available! Also some of the best crab Rangoons I've had in a long time! “I am so extremely happy as I found my mei fun noodle I've been looking for. I used to (back on 2016) work near by this place and my coworkers had always ordered mei fun (thin rice noodle) from this place. As I moved job at 2018, I forgot where to get the same exact thing that I've tried from when I was working near by this chinese restaurant, I went to so many chinese restaurant around woodbridge/ edison to look for the exact thing but their mei fun noodle are so different compared to this (both the look and the taste). how I found this place again? I've never been here in person as in the past my coworkers ordered by phone and had them delivered to work. I tried to google chinese restaurant near carteret and found the singapore noodle pic on this website and give it a try to come try it in person. because from the look, it's just like what I want. the very very thin rice noodle (vermicelli). came to know that this place was the one where my friends ordered from! i'm so happy. will be back for my rice noodle again :))“

“For once, a Chinese takeout restaurant is aptly named.

When my family and I crave Chinese takeout, this is our go-to spot. Not only do they churn out large takeout orders in good time (our orders are typically quite large, and we've never had an issue in the thirty or so times we've ordered in the past), but it's always hot, well-seasoned, and well-prepared.

Our orders typically include a 'something-and-broccoli' dish, and they always manage to cook the broccoli to perfect tenderness. I'll also add that this is the only takeout place (ever) where I've actually liked the sesame chicken. In most places, it's either too sweet, mushy, or overly sauced; here, it's dependably delicious.

We especially love the combination plates on the menu, which offers certain entrees with a choice of fried rice or lo mein and a side of egg rolls.“

“The staff behind the counter and those who prepare the food are excellent at the West Caldwell location. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. The bathrooms are spotless and it welll worth coming in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. So much to choose from and ready to customize your choices to your liking. They are happy to do it.
There is plenty of free parking with Disabled Spots. Out front.“
