“Stumbled upon this place with my girlfriend and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised! Food was good. Service was great. Atmosphere was amazing! There is 1 all gender restroom on the floor with the main bar. Then there are stalls downstairs. There was an upstairs area which we didn’t go to but it seemed equally as cool if not cooler. I got the Irish breakfast, and in case you do the same, the buttered bread is diy and the butter is under the bread. I didn’t realize that until it was too late. When we were leaving we mentioned coming back again with friends. 10/10 recommend though if you’re in the area.“

We just went for the 2023 Rockefeller tree and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. so happy they were decorated for the holidays. 100% go to in our opinion.“

“I first discovered Finnegans Wake in 1990 and it was and still is my favorite NY place. Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end but I haven’t been back to NYC since 2013. I heard Ignatius passed and May he RIP and Frank, the best bartender must have retired. If not, please give him a shout out from his “California Girls , Maria and Kelly.“

“James "Jimmy" was great, as they say first impression count and he certainly makes it count. Well Jimmy certainly achieved this with a positive attitude and service etiquette with a friendly welcoming demeanor. James "Jimmy" was great in this historic Astoria hospitality venue and I highly recommend Cronin & Phelan. Besides Peter our regular loved bartender I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a amazing experience in an already established bar. I came here to see Peter and already were amazed at Jimmy the bartender, which Jimmy went ahead and surprised me when I saw he is another high caliber service orientation bartender and definitely an asset to this location.“

“Absolutely the best food always! You will not find a better Irish breakfast on this side of the Atlantic. I've ordered in, Uber Eats, and their own delivery service and never had a bad experience. Their mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables are unmatched! I could go on and on. I also have done family parties here and the service was amazing. If your looking for a good bite to eat and very fairly priced look no more, this is your home away from home. Please put the Chicken Cordon Blu back on Uber Eats as I'm devastated not to see the option anymore.“

“We are staying nearby so we have been here every day for the last three days (so far). The service is always great and we have enjoyed the food options, with one exception: on the menu the chili nachos do not mention that they include guacamole. My wife is allergic to guacamole so we were disappointed to see that. Luckily we could isolate it, but the menu should really list all key elements so that people know what they will be getting. We will definitely return again, though. The atmosphere is quite cozy and relaxed.“

“This is my favorite spot in the neighborhood. It's got that cozy pub feel, tasty food and a great place to grab a drink, catch up with friends, or celebrate with family. We stop by for most family birthdays and occasions. We even held my mom's 60th birthday in the back room and had the whole thing catered for super reasonable cost. We held a paint and sip back there. The food is super tasty. I'm obsessed with the garlic mushrooms and I spent most of my life thinking I didn't like mushrooms! The steak tidbits are mouth watering. There are always interesting locals seated at the bar and happy groups seated around the tables. It's a great atmosphere. Owner and staff are friendly and warm.“

“I came down for the first time last month to watch the Celtic match starting at 7 am, I didn't know what to expect but the food was great, the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was great even in the early morning. I was so impressed I stayed after to watch the EPL matches they were showing even though I'm not a big EPL fan. I will definitely be coming back, and it's a must-visit for any Celtic supporter in the New York area.“

“Excellent take out home cooked meal style food. I love and buy the salmon piece which is huge and is $8. I also get chicken cutlets for the kids. The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“

Shoutout too to Cynthia, always hooks it up for Ranger games! Food and drinks were all on point and reasonably-priced. This place is a true gem and a wonderful spot for all kinds of events and is conveniently located near MSG for any event going on there.“
