What was once the best Italian ice place around has become a shell of its former self. The quality and taste of the ice has gone down substantially in recent years, and they barely even fill the cups (see photo). All this while consistently being out of flavors and raising prices for the season once again.

It’s become a family tradition to go there after a beach day. There have been so many beach days this summer.

Place is nice, personnel is not so nice. We got the cold shoulder when we came in, almost looked annoyed he had customers. Then we asked for the dipped chocolate cone, which was advertised on the window, and he says they have nothing like that. He was rude and unwelcoming. The ice cream was good so I gave 2 stars.

Ice cream seemed like it didn't have as much flavor as it did before. Sorry, just our opinion.

There has never been a better Italian Ice shop... Ralphs simply has the best Italian ice ever made. Try the watermelon. Try the Cherry. try the lemon. all the flavors have chunks of real fruit. perfect for any summer's day.
Need more Ralph's in Tom's River, the Best around, brings back my younger memories of the main store in staten island,

Another place you drive to expecting to be open because the sign says they re open and closes earlier. I went there this past Friday night and the advertised hours for that day was 10pm. I got there 8:54pm Friday night and they were closed. I was just there the night before on a Thursday which they close at 9pm and the place was open but getting ready to close. The ice is good but not worth the aggravation of driving all the way there during advertised business hours only for the place to be closed. There wasn’t no power outage, hurricane, tornado, snow storm, or a note or sign indicating some sort of emergency reason why they closed early, on a Friday night none the less

One employee is not sufficient. A 20 minute wait to get ice is not worth it.
