Playa Bowls is a pleasant place to visit. The morning people are great and the workers can be very quick, kind, sweet, and informative, especially regarding gluten-free options like the gluten-free granola. Some staff are described as energetic and bubbly. However, service can become really bad after noon, with orders sometimes being a mess, missing fruits, or incorrect, like an Electric Mermaid bowl made with coconut when requested without. Bowls like the number 10 oatmeal with Nutella and the Nutella bowls with extra Nutella are favorites, though some customers wish for more Nutella drizzled on top. Occasionally, the base can be frozen and blank on flavor. Many find this the best location in New Jersey compared to others, with customers planning to visit more often.
