I had the most wonderful exchange with Maria the owner today. She is the sweetest most engaging person I have had the pleasure to meet in a long time. Although I have lived in Union City for decades, I had not noticed this bakery. Be prepared to stay longer than you expected and purchase more than you planned! I only recently re discovered the Bakery.One of my favorites has always been the cheese strudel. I personally can tell you the Family are some of the kindest People you will ever meet. They were so welcoming to my Dad and I when we moved to Highlands in 1985 when I was just 18 and we had moved back from Germany. OMG I grew up across the street Joel vargas my brother worked in this place and so did I I remember Michael and his Maria God blessed them and Papu and yaya my brother and I Mitchell vargas learned alot from them great people. We loved 2404 central Ave since 1975
