We were watching ATK (America's Test Kitchen) and there was an episode about preparing Spaghetti all'Assassina (Assassin's Spaghetti). So we looked up where we can taste it in NYC before trying to recreate it in the kitchen - the closest place to Manhattan is in Union, NJ. So we went on a (short) road trip. It's a 30' drive from the city.

When you pull up to All' Assassina in Union it is very unassuming- there is a Greek restaurant...

Took a chance on trying this eatery , found it on a Google search .... It did not disappoint! The service and food was fantastic from a delicious burrata with capers a nice touch to the Papardelle pasta carbonara 😋 . We're definitely returning for more !

Absolutely the best! I’m gluten free and they have GF pasta options which are the best, and their sauces taste amazing! Excellent service too! I recommend the “Pancetta alla Vodka” dish!
