I do love Blue Hippo. The food, drinks and people are great and do love all the tables to get to go to sit either to read, hang with friends or work from there. However, I do extremely miss the old atmosphere. It used to be so cozy and warm with the soft lighting and exposed wood. Now it’s all white and clinical looking, very cold and no longer warm and cozy. I was excited to bring my friend for the first time, and while we did like the food and drink, we really couldn’t help...
The food was outstanding, we came from lyndhurst and we got the steak and eggs and two coffees. The food was so good we ordered another round cause we didnt want to share. Unbelievable for a coffee spot to serve this type of quality food and meat! Their menu has so many option it was definitely hard to choose. The space very extreme clean and well kept. The staff was super warm and kind to us the guy Ameer was very kind and accommodating.
I usually order online for delivery but decided to come in on a Monday holiday weekend because I was off. So did a lot of other people apparently, it was really busy! So we waited a while for our food, but I expected to wait going out anywhere at that time. The staff was warm and welcoming. The brunch servers were attentive. I had the fried egg pimento sandwich. It was fantastic. Hope ya’ll bring the biscuits back, either way I’ll be back!
