We love to go there to see a band called Jump The Line! Fantastic band, welcoming staff, and friendly people. Villas Fishing Club is a most excellent place for beautiful sunsets, as it is right on the bay.“

“Always a nice time in the Brown Room! Although it's very hard to get in, we sometimes get lucky & get seats. I love listening to the music, enjoying a cocktail & sometimes something to eat. Recently I enjoyed the cheese/charcuterie plate. Service is good. I remember this place used to take reservations & they no longer do. Perhaps they should go back to that so that everyone gets a chance to get in there as some people camp out there for hours! The interior is so lovely!“

“We stayed here from Aug 30-Sept 1 2024. Absolutely an amazing stay. I would say this hotel is not one you stay in if you’re there for a whole week and expect to live in your room but for us it was everything we needed at a fantastic price. The room was clean, comfortable, updated and all around great. The staff, let me tell You how wonderful they are, we needed to check in later they said “okay we got it” no issues, our room was cleaned and refreshed within an hour of us being out the door and back from the store. We asked for a later check out and they had no issue giving us an extra hour. They were beyond accommodating when we needed assistance the day we checked out and even offered to let us use the accommodations they provide for guests. We will be coming back and staying here again.“

“The crushers were very refreshing after a warm day and the ‘U peel shrimp’ were EXCELLENT (a half pound is plenty for two people). The crab cakes were also delicious and decent portions. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.“

“I've eaten here a number of times over the years and thankfully it's stayed exactly the same every time I've been in. The portions are amazing and the prices, very reasonable! It's absolutely one of the very few places you can go here on the island and be able to spend $25 and get lunch for 2 and leave the waitress a healthy tip. My wife and my favorite is their Chicken Caesar Salad. The lettuce always has a nice fresh crunch to it the chicken is cooked perfectly and I've never had a time it was ever dry here. The Caesar comes with dressing on it and it's always been just the right amount in my taste, never too much but never have I wanted to ask for more... The atmosphere is wonderful both inside and out at the garage bar where because I have a love for outdoor dining I tend to sit more often. I never have felt like we were forgotten or needed to request anything while out there. Every time I've eaten in either part of the restaurant everyone, from the hostess, to the waitress, to even the bussers have never been anything but polite and helpful with smiles on their faces and always a helpful word when stumped on what to get from the menu! Always a win both on and off season and always somewhere I stop when I'm in town!!“

“Decent bar food which is passable for the area. Outside the fireplace was nice but they were playing loud club music which made it a strange choice for the type of patrons inside: retirees and families. Service is passable but could be improved by hiring some extra wait staff. My issue was mostly with the acoustics. It was LOUD. They had live music, which is a nice touch, but it was so loud you couldn’t hear the person next to you. Overall this place needs better management to make it better.“

“We stopped here to grab a quick lunch/dinner before the 6pm ferry. Just wanted a quick and decent good meal. Wow were we impressed! Everything was delicious. Kendra was an amazing efficient server. We told her we were on a time crunch, and she made sure we had time to enjoy our food and not miss the Ferry. Thanks for the exceptional meal and service! We’ll stop by again on our next trip!“

“My wife and I decided we wanted to check out places we’ve never been on the Jersey shore this summer. We found this place first. Lucky us-we chose their opening day to try it. We were immediately greeted by a drunk man telling us not to waste our time as he staggered out. The staff handled him with ease-we decided to stay and check it out. They had normal first day growing pains with staffing but the service and food didn’t reflect this. Everything we ordered was available, hot, and tasted fresh. This place has definitely taken a spot in our favorites list and we will be back. If it was that good on opening day, I can’t imagine what a nice summer evening entails.“
