“Me and the family used to go to Olive Garden every few weeks after watching a movie at 14th Street Union Square. There was an Olive Garden on 23rd. This was our go to, we celebrated group birthdays here. Then it got too expensive and we stopped going. While on vacation we saw one and everyone was down to go. We were seated and the 1st thing to arrive were the bread sticks. So buttery and dusted with garlic and cheese and warm. We ordered our apps and entrees and the next delivery was the salad. This is a large communal salad that has everything and cheese mixed in. Olives and peppers are non-grata, but everything else is fine. The dressing although over everything, is not overwhelming. The entrees are non-threatening Italian offerings, a real Italian would curse you out if you compared this and a real Italian restaurant, but this is comfort food, enjoy it!Parking: 20+ spots, take out spots as wellKid-friendliness: Activity sheet and crayonsWheelchair accessibility: Flat area to navigate without issue“
“Cool salad place with plenty of topping options to choose from. I went on the fourth of July, and asked for tofu and they said they didn't have any. Which is fine, being in food service I know sometimes we sort make things because we don't expect to sell or have a lot of buisness that day because of holidays. I wasn't disappointed, just if I have an option for tofu, I'm gonna take it.The salad was good, and they give you a very large portion, so there's no need for any sides or extras.“
“Ordered takeout, but when I went inside, the atmosphere made me want to come back just to dine in. Price is a little expensive for the servings but the food makes up for it. I got the butter chicken, the chicken vindaloo, and the garlic Naan bread. All of it was great. Each serving of chicken came with a pan of rice and the bread was super light and was freshly made. The butter chicken had the most flavor out of all of the food I've eaten in the past 3 months. Chicken vindaloo was also very good.“
“Food is great and serving portions are big. Retro vibe. NJ is the diner capital of the world. I always bring my visitors from overseas here to experience diner scenes that they've only watched in movies and tv series growing up like "Welcome Home, Cotter" or "Happy Days".“
“No frills but some great tasting wings. Previous reviews spoke of the staff being rude, but I didn't have a problem with them. They weren't talkative, but said thank you after I paid. Good enough for me. Someone complained about calling 15 minutes before closing...I wouldn't have served them either.“
“If Top Shelf is at an event, I will order there rather than one of the other trucks. In all the years of ordering, I have never had something I was not happy with. Food is always delicious and is a step above other offerings. Wait times are contingent upon how hefty the crowd is that day. I always factor that in and it has not been a problem for me.“
