I chose to celebrate my birthday at this place and I’m so glad I did! The food was perfect and so was the service. I really enjoyed the bar area by the fish tank is and our server was someone who has served us before with lots of experience. Definitely recommend going here for a special occasion or just for some really great food.
We had hibachi for a party of 5 and it was delicious. The chef was entertaining and accommodating as we had a few in the group that could not eat garlic and he quickly pulled there items out and prepared them garlic free while the rest of us enjoyed our garlic. We made a reservation and our table was ready right on time!
I’m not usually a big fan of hibachi but Shogun is by far the best hibachi anywhere in NJ. All the proteins are super high quality (don’t sleep on the duck and scallops), the veggies are fresh, and the noodles/rice are not swimming in oil. The only thing better than the food is the service, and there is no one better than Mike. Mike goes out of his way to make sure you and your guests are having a great time and each time we dine there it’s like bumping into an old buddy....
