“my review is for the amazing pepperoni slice I just grabbed for lunch. it had a crispy, thin crust with no flop. the sauce was a nice balance of sweet and tangy. the cheese was not excessive, and the pepperoni wasn’t too greasy. I added pepper flakes and oregano because that’s how I like my pizza, but it would be perfectly delicious without it.“

“Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. We also got a cheese and pesto savory pastry and a passion fruit and coconut tres leches dessert. Everything was delicious!!!!! Thanks for the enjoyable experience. We will definitely return.“

“Make no mistake, this is 5-star pizza. Get a few “personal” pizzas for variety: a cheese, a white, and maybe a mushroom or pepperoni - well done. Absolutely the best in Somerset area. If you stop there for lunch, their slices are quite big, you only need 1. And the chicken fingers are a MUST. We just love Amici’s. I recommend calling them directly and pick up, or ask for delivery. “My team had a lunch booked today and stepping into L’Allegria was a beautiful surprise. I booked the restaurant based on the menu and ratings, plus parking looked easy. Without planning it we had a private room where we could celebrate the departure of one of our colleagues. Alana took great care of us and the food was delicious and well executed. Temperatures were perfect on the food too. The zucchini blossoms and homemade gnocchi were the best I’ve had in YEARS. The chef and restaurant team are to be commended. “I was really looking forward to trying out the food here, and I'm happy to report that the Halal Tandoori Chicken Pizza was absolutely fantastic. The tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly—tender and full of flavor—and it paired wonderfully with the rest of the pizza. It's a genuinely delicious and unique pie that I'd recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, the wings didn't quite live up to the same standard. They were a bit bland and lacked the bold seasoning I was hoping for. While the pizza was a 5-star experience, the disappointing wings brought my overall rating down a bit. I'd definitely come back for that pizza, but I'd probably skip the wings next time.“

“What a great Pizza Discovery. First of all, you cannot get any better Customer Service. The Family owned business was highly engaged the moment you walk thru the doors. They have been in the Food Business for 50 years and at this location for 30, so they understand the importance of customer engagement. Their great attitude alone would have me wanting to go back because they are such nice people. Small Family run business, it doesn't get any better. But it does here, the Pizza was excellent and the Homemade dessert knocked it out of the park. The Pizza is unique in that it made like a traditional Neopolitan style where the crust is wet and has some sag at the start of the slice. This is not usually the style with a deck oven Pizza slice, but they pull it off because the dough is so fresh. Perfect blend of cheese with an excellent homemade sauce. They are tucked away in a mini mall in Peacock, but once you make it there once, your taste buds will bring you back. Thank you for a great experience.“

“Sammy's has been a favorite of mine for some time. It is one of those spots that you hope always stays the way it is. A unique ordering experience which provides you with just the right amount of time to have a couple negronis in the basement bar before being shown to your table. Steak for 2, med rare. Skylark's on-line reservation form offered nothing before 6:30 in the evening. But when we arrived, many tables were open, so I don't see why we could not have made it 6:00, which is what I'd would've preferred. Next time, I'll just call.

A tip of the hat for Skylark's policy of discounting the bill by 3% if you pay in cash. Why don't all retail establishments offer this? It ought to be the law. Restaurants and stores that charge the same for payment in cash or credit card make more money if you pay with the former, as they don't have to fork over a cut to the banks issuing the latter.“
