All the dishes , with large portions were priced reasonably! The wait staff, bar staff & management were professional & accommodating. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting and would recommend Mulberry Street to anyone looking to go for dinner or to have an event . You won’t regret it!“

“Loved this cute little place!!! My daughter and I were out and about, and wanted to get some coffee, but not from the regular “chain” coffee shop, so after a quick search, we headed to Metuchen. We were lucky enough to get parking right outside, and walked in to be pleasantly surprised by the esthetic vibe. Everything was super clean, and we were greeted right away by the super friendly employee. My daughter ordered a cappuccino and I got iced coffee. “10/22/25 - Lunch time! Of course, that means pizza at least once a week. Today's visit was to a place called Pronto Pizzeria & Restaurant in South Amboy, NJ. \n\nIf I didnt have Google Maps, I probably wouldn't have found this place. It's on Rte 9 you say? Yes, it is. Should be easy to find, right? Well, no. If you are on the Rte 9 Southbound side, you are on the correct side. But note, you CANNOT see this pizzeria from Rte 9. There are several restaurants and stores in front of it. It is in a back row of stores next to the Rte 9 Farmer's Market. (I didn't know this farmers market existed until today.) Due to location, I think Pronto may only be known to the locals and the patrons of the Farmer's Market. And that's a shame because the pies are excellent. \n\nI ordered one plain slice and one Sicilian slice. The plain was excellent. Abundant premium mozzarella cheese, tangy sauce and flavorful Italian seasonings make this a wonderfully tasty local slice that's worth your time. The outer crust and undercarriage were both crispy and delicious. There's just a slight limpness but the slice does stand at attention with a small fold of the outer crust which also prevents the toppings from sliding off. The Sicilian slice was even better. Great Sicilian flavor with all of the aforementioned attributes mske this slice a show stopper. No limpness at all. One notable observation is for Sicilian pizza it's not thick at all. But the flavor is so good, it's forgivable. The crust is extremely crispy and unlike any Sicilian crust I've sampled in this area. But dont let this stop you from ordering one or a dozen.\n\nWith the odd location, this place is the very definition of a hidden gem. They have their own way of doing pizza here but it doesn't make the pizza any worse than its competitors. I'd recommend you give them shot to see for yourself. It is definitely worthy of your time and money.... if you can find it. 😃 \n\nOverall Rating : A“

Unfortunately, the wings didn't quite live up to the same standard. They were a bit bland and lacked the bold seasoning I was hoping for. I contacted them about a week and a half before my party, super nervous that I was too close and they wouldn’t be able to do it. They excitedly took my order and shared how much they loved the idea for my Brazilian carnival themed birthday. Not only did they make me feel super confident that they would execute my idea perfectly, but they guaranteed that they’d be able to get it done on time. Based on the first-rate meals we enjoyed the other night, I think this is honest. I've gotten so used to just-okay cuisine served at the plethora of just-okay restaurants, I can vouch for that scratch kitchen claim, as Skylark reminded me of just how good food can taste. We shall return.

Skylark's on-line reservation form offered nothing before 6:30 in the evening. But when we arrived, many tables were open, so I don't see why we could not have made it 6:00, which is what I'd would've preferred. Next time, I'll just call.

A tip of the hat for Skylark's policy of discounting the bill by 3% if you pay in cash. Why don't all retail establishments offer this? It ought to be the law. Restaurants and stores that charge the same for payment in cash or credit card make more money if you pay with the former, as they don't have to fork over a cut to the banks issuing the latter.“
