Best Italian Restaurant I’ve Ever Been To l and I’ve eaten all over the world!
I’ve had Italian food in Italy, Greece, France, and Germany but nothing compares to Sapore Italiano in West Cape May.
We ate there in May 2025 before I left for overseas travel. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere made us feel at home. The chef surprised us with a special appetizer lollipop lamb, shrimp, fresh tomato and mozzarella, all drizzled in...
We've sined here several times over the last 6-7 yrs. We think that has declined somewhat. Our waitress was outstanding . They no longer have the antipasto that was offered and it was one of the things we loved. Some of our favorite entrees are gone as well. Our caesar salad was just average, the calamari were bland and rubbery. We did enjoy the chicken saltimbocca and the gnocchi gorgonzola entrees. We love ending our meal with coffee and that was a arm at beat and burnt.
Located in a historical Cape-May house, with plenty of small separated rooms set as dining rooms, this allows a more intimate and calm atmospheres where 4 or 5 tables are situated.
The gnocchi are simply exquisite. The staff are professional and welcoming.
