So this is my go to Restaurant when I want to get pulpo a la Gallega and Natilla a la catalana. It was a thrusday night at 5pm we were celebrating a special,occasion in my family.
Food was mediocre let me explain the portions were ridiculously small not like usual. Don’t know if they changed cooks or ownership but not happy the bread was def old it almost looked moldy the potatoes or the chips were fried in old oil the taste was bad, like rancid and the natiila or custard....
We recently held a family reunion at El Mesón Español, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain the menu and answer all of our questions. The food was outstanding—every dish was cooked to perfection. We especially enjoyed the paella, oxtail, veal, and ribs—each one full of rich, authentic. Highly recommended!
Always delicious moist rice with the seafood paella pictured. The garlic chicken was tasty and cooked perfectly. It was not dry. Someone at the next table was having a huge meaty lobster which I'll have next time. You can have homemade chips which are not greasy or burnt. They have a nice veggie platter too.
