Place is gross. Overpriced. Bad bad food
The owner is a real POS. Stay far away.
Our close friends brought my husband and I there this morning for breakfast. The place has an awesome atmosphere and the view is awesome of NY. The food had so much favor. We were so full that we just had to bring our dessert home. Whenever we’re in NJ, this will most definitely be a stop while visiting 😉

Chit Chat Diner is a popular and busy place that attracts many customers. It offers a great menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack, and provides a nice view of the NYC skyline from the back windows. The large dining room can seat many people, and the atmosphere includes a bar, making it a lively spot to visit. The restaurant has fast service and friendly staff, with plenty of parking available. Outdoor seating is also offered, providing a breathtaking view. While the food is generally good and affordable, some customers mentioned that the service can be hit or miss, and prices might be a bit high for some. The diner is wheelchair accessible and has a kids' menu. Despite occasional issues with undercooked food, such as in a buffalo chicken sandwich, kids' pancake, and carrots, the overall experience is positive. The iced mocha coffee has received positive feedback, and staff members are known for being knowledgeable and welcoming, which helps make visits enjoyable. Many customers love the variety of choices, with some favorites including penne vodka pasta with broccoli and cream soup as a side, and fried chicken. The decor is festive and unique, making the setting inside and out more than just a typical diner. The menu features some upgraded items that elevate the experience, and the view alone makes dining here worthwhile. The extensive breakfast menu and bottled beers, wine, and mixed beverages add to the appeal. Overall, Chit Chat Diner is a lively and enjoyable spot with friendly staff, great views, and a diverse menu that keeps customers coming back.
