“We were in the area and decided to check out this place bc of all the great reviews and I’m so glad we did. This place is amazing and the food is so so good!! We ordered the hummus, chicken chapli and beef chapli with qabuli palow (traditional rice with carrots and raisins). It’s so favorable and so fresh. They bring out the largest piece of naan bread ever with your order or hummus and food btw which I totally forgot to take a picture of ??‍♀️ oh and the people who work here are so lovely!“

“Current Review -Was in mood for Kabobs in this cold weather and stopped at this place late evening. Ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Shank Pulao and Chicken Kofta Kabobs.Didn’t disappoint me. Amazing taste, flavorful and had authentic reflections of Mediterranean cuisine. Their Lamb items are the best among the list.Their complementary Bread and Salads with different sauces is noteworthy.My recommendation is Lamb Chops and Lamb Shank Pulao. Shank was so well cooked that the meat was falling off from the bone and literally melting in the mouth.It’s an open casual dining place. Plate portion is good, competitive price for excellent taste and food quality. Customer service was good this time and could be because of less traffic.A must visit is recommended if you crave for Mediterranean food. I will visit again.Review from 2 years ago -We family and friends visit for dinner and tried Chicken Chapli, Lamb Chop, Chicken Lentil Soup and Chicken Gyro. “What an unexpected, pleasant dining experience. We had the experience of a meal that is a true delight.The pleasures that Silk Road provides are many: the elegant dining rooms, the attentive service, and the wonderful food, the attention to detail, and the friendly atmosphere all come together to delight the customer.We had been out on a dreary day, one of many such days lately. My wife suggested we go to Silk Road, that it would be a treat on such a somber afternoon. An excellent choice!We were promptly seated for lunch. No sooner than we were seated our server had a carafe of water on the table. The decor has been done with care, cloth napkins speak to the pride Silk Road takes in its image.We placed our order. We were immediately served Afghan salad and Lentil soup. The salad was loaded with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, the lentil soup delicious (and I dislike lentils!). Two pieces of Afghan Bread were served shortly after, piping hot and delicious. We were told the bread is baked fresh in house. We could have been satisfied with these first offerings, which were offered with our entree. My wife had the Large Mantu, which are steamed dumplings filled with minced beef, chives, and afghan spices, garnished with dill yogurt. She shared some with me: delicious! I had Banjan, an eggplant dish redolent with Afghan spices. Both entrées came with Naringe Palaw, a rice with orange and saffron, an intriguing combination of flavors. My wife, who doesn't particularly like eggplant, loved my dish almost as much as I did. A true gustatory delight.The owner spent some time with us, his pride in his restaurant and his cuisine evident, his desire to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere makes for a great dining experience. Do yourself a favor: venture forth to Silk Road. You'll be pleased you did.“

“Dinner with the family last night. BYOB but with a liquor store on the same block. Everything was great, food was delicious, hummus, kebabs, gyros, shrimp, veggies were all on point. The lamb was a little chewy and the rice a smidge on the salty side. Service was good, affordable prices with good portions. The bill came to $150 for 7 of us, not bad at all. If in the area, I'd definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Falafel, many of the appetizers, salads, etc.Parking: Side streets if not up front“
