I made the reservations some 6 weeks earlier. I was told the deposit would not be taken until check in. Incorrect. We were extremely lucky as we arrived very early and our room was ready. We were allowed to check in. We entered our room to an amazing fresh smell of cleanliness thanks to Rachel... We unloaded the car, started to unload the suitcase, and walked into the bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked like it was still in 1960.... PINK, tiles falling apart, calking...
The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and efficient. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing but also fun and exciting. The beach is a hop and skip away. One of the originals still left and I love it!!
It looks much better in the pictures. Room had a wall unit, very loud but it kept us cool. Door had about one inch gap under the door and only simple push lock as you see on the bathroom doors. No pad lock. Tiny chain on the door didn't add much to security. Room was surprisingly clean despite all the gaps on the door. Hotel and pool area looks much nicer in pictures.
