Southwood Bar is a restaurant with a friendly and delightful staff, often attracting an older crowd. The food, cooked in a small kitchenette, is surprisingly good—the Jersey Burger and cheesesteak are fantastic, and the hamburgers with raw onion are some of the best around. The thick and crispy french fries are delicious. The bartenders and service are awesome, with Peyton making everyone feel welcome. There is a wide selection of beers and sometimes live music, like the excellent "No Alibis" blues band or singer Tim Murray, creating a great night with great drinks.

However, the restaurant is designed with televisions on every wall, creating a sports-oriented atmosphere that can be overwhelming for some. The ambiance is dimly lit and has a '80s music theme, which may not appeal to everyone. On a busy day, the bar can be slow to serve a large group of customers. Overall, Southwood Bar offers a friendly environment with consistently decent food and good service, but the atmosphere and music may not suit everyone's taste.

Awesome bartenders and cooks. Love all the food. Southwood Bar is my favorite place to go after work , before going to six flags, making pit stop there on way home from six flags or even going there on my days off.

Family friendly dive bar. A few high tops around the bar with a few regular tables off to the side. Small place that is mainly a bar. Like I said, mostly a dive bar but still friendly enough to bring an older kid like my teenage daughter. My wife had boneless wings that she says we're excellent. I had the Brotherly Shove burger which hit the spot for me. Definitely would come back.

The food was pretty good, a little on the salty side, but flavorful. The server was busy but made a valiant effort to keep up with us and checked on us several times. We got to enjoy some trivia while we ate which made the night that much more enjoyable. I would rank Southwood as a definite return for an enjoyable laid back night out. Definitely recommend!
