Oh my goodness! Now that is chowder!! Thick, creamy and delicious complete with a fresh cheddar biscuit hot out of the oven! And the mussels were a perfect pairing along with a fresh roll to sop up the sauce! ???. This was supposed to be a late lunch/quick bite to tide us over til dinner. We split the mussels and sure could have split the chowder too the portions are so large.!
Stopped by Mifflin's Tea Room last Saturday afternoon while exploring Bonavista and honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. The partridgeberry tea and homemade fish cakes were fantastic, and the little garden patio out back gives you a really nice view toward the water. The woman who served us was so friendly and full of stories about the area, made the whole visit feel personal. Great service! Fresh, homemade, and delicious food. We loved the curry cod bites, seafood chowder, and the brisket sandwich!
