Looking to take something home or sit on their patio/inside, whatever the case may be it’s an experience! Everything done to perfection and best of all not over priced !!!!!!! “Oh my goodness! Now that is chowder!! Thick, creamy and delicious complete with a fresh cheddar biscuit hot out of the oven! And the mussels were a perfect pairing along with a fresh roll to sop up the sauce! ???. This was supposed to be a late lunch/quick bite to tide us over til dinner. We split the mussels and sure could have split the chowder too the portions are so large.!”

“My wife and I had a wonderful dinner experience here. The food was impecable, our server was very sweet, attentive and explained every dish in detail.

We ordered the fresh bread to start which came with a lovely assortment of breads, all made in house .. two different types of flatbreads, a honey bun and a large piece of focaccia .. and paired with two types of whipped butters. This was more than enough for the two of us to share. I read a comment about having to pay $6 for bread and I really don't understand that type of criticism, this was essentially $3 per person for beautiful home made assortment of breads. Contrast this with the price of a loaf of mediocre bread at the grocery store and there is no comparison.

The Carrot Variations appetizer was likewise interesting, different and delicious. If memory serves correctly, this dish included roasted carrots, carrot sauce, pickled carrots and dried carrots. We both enjoyed this a lot!

For mains, we had the Cod and Pork dishes. Both were cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and incredibly delicious.

By this stage, we were both rather full but given the food experience so far decided to go with a shared desert. It was a merangue with a raspberry compote and fresh blueberries. Wonderful!

This place, while not inexpensive, is a wonderful dining experience and I cannot recommend it enough. Clearly this food is prepared by a trained and skilled culinary staff. The service was top notch. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a special evening here. Highest recommendation!”

Barkeep Joan is a peach and the locals are welcoming, fun, and brutal in their assessment of local happenings, politics, and the night we were there, the world cup. Sports on the telly and a pool table are bright spots in this dark and cozy bar.”

“Went to Marsh's Snack Bar with a few friends on a Saturday afternoon and the fish and chips did not disappoint, nice crispy batter and generous portion. The staff were friendly and quick even though the place was packed, which we appreciated after a long walk around town. Parking was a bit tight but we found a spot just down the road without much trouble. Already planning to bring the rest of the group back next time we're in Bonavista.”
