If you want true Newfie dinner from a true Newfie kitchen, this is the spot! Cheesecake to go is a must.
One of the best meals we had in Newfoundland!
We stopped by Mifflins not knowing what to expect but we were wowed by the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere.
I had the fish cakes and they we're incredible. The rhubarb relish on the side was to die for. It's been two weeks and I'm still thinking about it.
My husband had the sampler, which consisted of a few traditional Newfoundland dishes and it too was wonderful. He particularly enjoyed the brewis.
It all tasted like a meal you would have at your grandma's house for Sunday dinner.
Hope to come back someday soon so we can have this delicious food again!
A Tea Room with a good craft beer selection? Wow!
Very good food with the opportunity to try several local dishes as side plates. Fun staff.
Very homey environment and the service was great. You get large portions of food and they serve homemade jam
This restaurant is much more than just a tea room. The food and atmosphere was great. I had a salmon dinner and my friend had the fried cod dinner and they were both 5 star. Our kids had macaroni and cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich which was also very good. It is great to have choices of meals that are not deep fried and greasy. I will definately be back again.
I found the Cod Au Gratin to be okay ish, I didn't find it special.
Excellent food.
Stopped in for lunch 10/9/25. Sat outside. Food was excellent service was excellent. Had chowder, cod with cheese and fish cakes
This was my favourite place to eat, I kept coming back for more (ate here 5 times!). They have the nicest décor, their staff were so kind, and a wide variety of teas to choose from. I had their newfie breakfast (toutons, bologna, beans), their seafood chowder, and cod au gratin and this was true home cooked meals. They have different desserts available all day, and I loved seeing their baked goods in the morning (tea buns). I cannot recommend this place enough!
They serve frozen food. We got a roast beef that was freezing cold. They took it back and got us a new one. It tasted dry and overcooked. We at least expected the chowder to be good since it has lots of reviews, but even that was overcooked and the clams were super chewy.
The servers are very nice though, hence the second star.

Quaint little restaurant with good authentic dishes. Get the Newfie sampler if you want to try a bit of everything authentic! Love the tearoom theme of the place!
Awesome, delicious!!
We went for Thirsty Thursday and were not disappointed!
The live music was out on the patio and it was pretty chilly that evening. We joked about getting a blanket with our order and they literally even had blankets for us.
The place was packed and the staff did an excellent job of keeping us all tended to. Do not sleep on the app deal! $5 for some deadly chilli nachos was a great way to end the night.
I recommend visiting this place if you travel to Benavista — not only was the breakfast excellent, but the interior décor was also outstanding.
Cute venue, incredible collection of tea pots!!! Creme brûlée oatmeal was so good!
