We live out of town so when we make a trip to corner brook usually once every couple of months we always make a point of going to have sushi. Been going to this place for awhile now and the food and service never disappoints. Good call on taking farmed Atlantic salmon off the menu. The ramen is the best with those pieces of pork belly by far the best I've ever had. Thank you chef and all the wonderful staff for making our time there most enjoyable.
Worth the trip from NB!I was seated immediately without a reservation, and the staff were promptly assisting me with the menu. I was informed they no longer source their salmon from farms, which was something I hadn't even considered!I ended up having takoyaki, a smoked Arctic char roll and salmon sashimi. Ate here recently with 11 other girl friends. The service was EXCELLENT, our server was so knowledgeable and friendly. The food was excellent (try the roll with Labrador Char). Highly highly recommend Newfound Syshi!
