“The staff at Chafe's Landing are top tier and their raspberry/vanilla + blueberry/lemon cake slices are out of this world!

We ordered the Moose Sausages, Crunchburger & Cod Tongue Meal yesterday. The sausages were great, the cod tongues were surprisingly tasty and the gravy that came with the fries was the best gravy I've ever had! The fries were a bit under-done so they were quite firm and the chicken in the crunchburger was quite dry but with some added gravy it was a 10/10!

Our waiter last night raved about the home-made slices of cake so we had to try those and the blueberry/lemon was a nice balance between sweet/tart while the raspberry/vanilla was exceptional. Not too sweet, not too raspberry flavoured. It was perfect!“

“We stayed for 3 nights for our daughter's wedding. Our room was first class with w.c., large bath and large walk-in shower. It was quiet, facing the rear of the building. The front pedestrian way can be a bit noisy with revellers. Spotlessly clean, with aircon and fridge. The restaurant offered a varied evening menu, and the cuisine was superb. Likewise, a good choice for breakfast, and large portions. I had the 2 egg breakfast, and the eggs were cooked precisely to my instructions. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This was my second visit, and I look forward to my third.“

“I went here with my husband last night on our first date in a long while without the children :). I love, love, LOVE the old brick and wood "tavern" style atmosphere of the pub. The dim lighting and dark decor make the pub feel very cozy, historic and romantic. We sat across from the bar in a little booth next to the old-fashioned Hearth which was lovely. I had the Newfoundland Fish and Chips which was utterly delicious!! The fish was perfect, not to wet, not too dry and it had two generous portions with not too much batter and a delicate flavour without being greasy. The fries were tasty as well and definitely not the frozen, store-bought variety too many restaurants go with. I washed it all down with a beautiful Landwash beer and to top it all off, our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the TV (playing sports)...it felt really out of place there. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon!!!“

“Used to come here all the time but hadnt in a while. Ordered a chicken pad Thai and told them I had a shrimp allergy. Was given a shrimp Pad Thai and didnt realize until I sat down to eat. Also used to be one of the only fast food places that had lemonade and they also got rid of that. Really gone downhill.“

“NJ's is one of the best places on town to eat. We have eaten in and had takeout there, both excellent. I think it heartless to give a 1 star rating due to problems with billing because they had just today had their cash register stolen. Support local, eat local and give this business some love♥“

“The food was amazing as well as the drinks. Our waitress delivered great service and was the sweetest. She even wrote out the recipe for the white sangria that she made for me. It was amazing!! Our son is gluten intolerant and he absolutely loved his meal.“
