A classic ‘neighborhood bar’ just outside of the downtown hub in St. John’s. We went here to get ‘screeched in’ by local Billy Fleck, which itself was a great experience. Beer was cheap, conversation with the locals was fun. Cash only when we went, don’t know if it’s like this all the time. Worth a stop!
Very friendly bartender/waitress excellent customer service .Vlt's were paying too . All in all I enjoyed my visit to St John newfoundland. Everyone that I encountered were easy going and nice to talk to .
Great spot to see live music. Chill, fun atmosphere. Can sometimes feel like a weird (but great) coming together of worlds, particularly when there are philosophy lectures in one room and rowdy regulars in the main bar. Love it here. Pro tip: Press your card in and hold it down when you use the ATM, otherwise it won't work.
