“Ok where to start! We asked to do a group booking for our minor baseball team. This lovely establishment helped us with a pre order menu and booking, and then when we showed up they had a whole area reserved for not only our team, but families as well! The service was top notch and extraordinarily efficient for such a large group. Special thanks to Brenda for helping with the booking, Aidan and staff for the impeccable St. John’s welcome to this group from Alberta. Sorry I wish I had more names, everyone was so amazing. The live band also amazing. And the food…. So so good! Thank you so much for the hospitality.“

“Heard great things about this location from a coworker so we decided to check it out last Friday for date night. To say we had an amazing time would be an understatement! The server was so lovely, it was her first night on the job but I honestly never would have known only for she told me. Honestly the best service I have ever received, hands down! The food was also amazing, not our first time at a Jungle Jim's, we've been to different locations over the years but our first time at this one and it was honestly the best feed of JJ's we've ever had. The entertainment was also a great added bonus. The band that night was "Down Forward" and they were exceptional! We are already planning out next visit!“

“Girlfriend and I went to trapper john’s to get screeched in, trapper bobby told non stop jokes and threw a couple insults our way but it’s all part of the experience. It was very authentic and it was clear the bartender has lived a full life, as he told us his life story after getting screeched in. He bought us shots on the house before we left, very nice guy, just trying to make everybody smile in his own way. If you get offended easily, don’t go here. If you can take a bit of heat and want to smile and laugh, spend some time here.“

“Sat on the patio since my dog was with us and substituted the beet salad as my side. Best meal during my entire vacation which included a handful of more exclusive establishments. The salad was phenomenal and the fish excellent. My friend also was very pleased. Our server was attentive and of course brought water for my pup. Glad we stumbled upon this place!“

Steaks is a gamble they can never get it right for me and I likes mine blue rare which is shocking I know they don't have skill grill cooks like the keg but messing up blue rare is surprising but when they do actually cook it right it is great piece of steaks. “I've been going to Lottie's every time I've been to Newfoundland for the past 20 years. Nothing says 'I've arrived' on George Street like a White Russian in a plastic cup! Beyond friendly service, and everyone having a great time. This bar is most definitely a stand out, and worth it just to even chat with the bartenders (assuming it's not past 10 pm on Thu / Fri / Sat). A must-visit.“
