Ok so this is my new go to place. There are some good Indian food spots around NL but this one ladies and gentlemen delivers!!

EXCELLENT FOOD! I couldn’t decide between butter chicken and beef biriyani so I asked the clerk and he suggested beef biriyani. No regrets; absolutely delicious. Beef was superrr fall-apart tender and I got extra spicy and it was perfectly so! The store also has some great finds. My only regret is not ordering samosas.

Immediately upon entering the restaurant I could tell from the smell that I was in for a great meal and still the food managed to surpass all expectations. The service was quick and very courteous and the food was full of flavour and spiced perfectly. 100% will be eating here again during my next trip to St. John's.

I have never had a bad experience with SpiceX,, only some mediocre ones. They're open at great hours and they can get busy for a reason. Had some absolutely delicious spicy butter chicken from Shiva yesterday. Top notch. SpiceX is a place you can reliably go to get a good hot meal.

I love this place. Usually we get it from Skip the Dishes, but today we went and picked it up from their location on Empire Ave. The staff (Shiva) was very friendly. The food was excellent. I had Butter Chicken. I appreciate that they give you the sauce and chicken in a separate container, so that when you get home and combine it with the rice, it will be fresh. It's the best butter chicken in the city.

This is a great restaurant if you are willing to try some authentic indian cuisine. It was my first visit today; the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly! I was served by Shiva and he guided me perfectly despite having multiple orders on hand. Overall the service was fantastic, looking forward to having more orders from this restaurant!

Asif was very friendly and accommodating!Butter chicken is the absolute best, hands down. Don't hesitate to try it, will not disappoint.I tried the beef biryani, not sure it was my favorite. Perhaps the spices used are unfamiliar to my Canadian palate. I'll warn Canadians / Newfoundlanders who haven't tried it before, it has quite a strong flavor which you may not expect.Thanks as always, I certainly will be back for the butter chicken.

Visited Spicex couple of times. Found array of spices , groceries, and frozen items.Anyine looking for Indian groceries qould not be disappointed. Variety of spicy pickles available.This place also provide indian food services like Biriyani, curries and other items. Only take away.I ordered food through skip the dishes . Really enjoyed the delicacy but with TOO MUCH raisins in the biriyani, couldnt enjoyed much.
