The service was terrible the waitress was more involved with other staff than serving costumers. Was very dark in the restaurant and the food was awful I ordered chicken fingers and i never ordered spicy or anything and I got the spiciest fingers ever would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

Better then I expected after reading reviews. Lots of choice on the menu. Fast service. Nice to sit outside or inside. Outside is picnic tables. Veggie and beef burgers were good. Fries good. Did not know there were specials until we heard another server tell her guests.

We stopped in for a flight of beer and a bite to eat. We sat on the patio and enjoyed our food and drink. We would go back again sometime.

Friendly staff, food greasy, over cooked, and mostly deep fried. Beer good variety but only one was appealing to us

Solid food, had a beer from the brewery that was quite good. The family shared a plate of wings, then for the main I had an appy plate. Wings were good and my main was good (More wings, good calamari and fries, decent mac and cheese bites). Others in my party had the chicken sandwich (very overcooked), bean burger (good), and the loaded fries (soggy and disappointing). Fries and wings were definitely the highlight, but the service was insanely slow. Took over an hour to get our food after we ordered, restaurant was not very full so really not sure what the deal was. Service was nice though, workers were friendly.

Stopped here to sample some of the craft beers. Good service but we can't vouch for the food since we didn't eat here. Good selection of merchandise to purchase. Stopped the following day for food but there was a line-up so we moved on.

Great lunch experience. Lovely service and information about the food/brews. We chose a lovely light beer and enjoyed a nice meal. We shared the Double Flight appetizer platter and all items were delicious.

Absolutely worst service I've encountered in a long time. Ordered the veggie burger and told the waitress (Durcey) that I am allergic to dairy and to let the kitchen know, in case there is any dairy on the burger. 20 minutes later the burger arrives, the waitress tells me there IS dairy on the burger, and to eat around it. This is absolutely appalling. Allergies are serious, and should be taken seriously by restaurant staff. Cross contamination exists. Were I to "eat around it", I would have gotten extremely sick. How easy would it have been to let me know as soon as I placed my order, so that I could have ordered something else, or left? At the counter, I kindly let her know that allergies should be taken more seriously, and had I ate the burger, I would have gotten extremely sick. I was met with rudeness, excuses, and eye rolling. Absolutely worst service I have ever encountered. I know waitressing is hard. I am a waitress. There's no excuse for this. Do not recommend.

We came to Split Rock Brewing/Stage Head Pub during our staycation. After trekking across the province and back, this was a cozy spot to hang out in Twillingate - what feels like the end of the earth! Our server took the time to properly explain all beers available, and made some good food recommendations too. Definitely worth the drive out for the views in the area, friendly service and yummy beers!

Our first negative experience in Newfoundland. OK beer. So-so food. Not great ambiance. Lousy service. Arrived at 7PM on Monday and restaurant was not busy. We stood at entry near bar and two employees for 10” when finally a server walked by and told us we could take “table 5”. The pub was dark, has no view (which is difficult to accomplish in NL!) and was dominated by large screen TV with sports-talk on. The table had no menu, silverware or napkins. The 3-4 servers appeared harried. No one seemed friendly, which is a rarity in NL. After a too-long wait we were asked for our drink orders. We asked for menus. The plastic-covered menu offered very few items. There was no beer/drink menu. We ordered a beer and two burgers (beef and veggie). The beer, a brown ale, arrived fairly quickly and was decent. The wait for our food was long. The food wasn’t great; over cooked yet greasy fries, stale buns etc.. We had to ask for utensils and napkins. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks; not sure how a pub can stay in business that way. The tab was presented and we were told to pay the $45 (1 beer, 2 burgers) at the bar. At the bar we were ignored as 2 other parties (who appeared to be locals) were tended to first for their beer refills. Our only disappointing experience so far in Newfoundland.

Great place, great live music (Jared played his guitar and sang), good beer and good food. There was a nice combination of tourists and locals, lots of parking, and a location in the center of town. The service was excellent. I could not think of a nicer way to relax while on holiday!!!

Stayed in Twillingate for one night and found the Split Rock Brewpub after the another option was at least a 45 min wait. We were told to sit where we liked, they would come to us. Asked for an IPA and a seasonal fruit beer which were fine. Husband had the burger! He is still talking about the burger! Perfectly cooked with lots of stuff on it and a great bun. Overall a good food and beer night. Service could use a bit of help but they had only been open a short time when we were there.

We took advantage of the beer sampler pkg offered at our B & B (Across the street) while visiting in the off season at the end of March. We really liked the dark wood and sturdy feel of this new craft beer pub. The beers we tried were all very good which is a surprise because we try lots.. lol.. I guess it's because we were helped so thoroughly in choosing our beer varieties. We got what we expected and they were well done. From stouts to light lagers. The girl serving and bartending couldn't be sweeter. We all chatted at the bar like old friends. We only live 90min way but the area is always a nice change. True coastal Nfld feel.. it's quite touristy in season though. I'll always stop in from now on..
