Bar & Grill in Carlsbad

“First, I would have posted pictures, but I was too busy eating to take them them...My husband and I shared a green chili poutine, we shouldn't have since we were each getting a burger. I'm NOT sorry we did. It was piled high with cheese and white gravy (we could have had brown) and delicious with a nice kick from the chilis.I had a bacon jam burger that was one part bacon and 2 parts sin.The house made chips are crispy like that one single burnt fry you always hope to get at the bottom of your fries except a whole plate of them!Hubby got the sky burger, 4 slabs of bacon, 3 cheeses and he says the chipotle sauce wasn't spicey but... I have trust issues.I also grabbed a pecan ale. It was like someone married a pecan syrup to an ale... but not sweet!He got a cider because when your spicey soul wants chipotle sauce you gotta sweeten things up somewhere.“

“Rooms were very clean, staff was more than friendly and the breakfast was very hot and delicious with so many breakfast items to choose from! Being under new management they have really improved this hotel overall. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend all of my friends and family stay here as well!“

“Great bar! I'm visiting from out of town and don't think I'm quite the usual clientele here, but I was welcomed by the bartender and was very happy with both the cocktails and the service. I asked the bartender for "something sweet" and she did great. The prices were totally reasonable too.It's cash-only. I'm not mad about it, but I don't carry cash, so I had to use the ATM. I wish there was an option for debit, Venmo, or something else that's not cash–I would've spent more than the $20 I got from the ATM!“
