“Stopped there for lunch. Say on the shaded patio. Nice ambiance. Had a vegan burrito with lots of grilled veggies and beans. Came with guacamole and salsa. They added chips because rice was no longer vegan. Wife had the chicken salad wrap. It was very big. Came with fries. She said it was excellent. She also had a mimosa that was delicious.Vegetarian options: Ask for the vegetarian menu. Has some vegan options as well. Items are not listed on the regular menu.“
“What a great place! Enjoyed talking to the owner Lucas, his Dad, and another brewer/bartender that I didn't get his name. Historic building, very good beer and ale, very friendly staff. Local gathering place. I hope we can visit there again. If you are in Carlsbad, this is a must stop.“

“Amazing food, you definitely get the bang for your buck! If you leave hungry, it's your own fault. Fast friendly service with ample seating. If you don't want to sit inside on a beautiful, get your grub to go and go sit outside by the river.“

“I moved to Carlsbad about six months ago and this is one of the best restaurants I have visited so far. Both husband and I had the prime rib with loaded baked potato, which were both very good, and the potato was truly loaded with tons of butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon. The real standout was the incredible salad bar. It has a huge variety of choices and everything was fresh and constantly being refreshed during the dinner hour. We are still talking about the salad bar and planning to return in the near future. I didn't have high hopes because it is located in a motel, but was very pleasantly surprised by our experience. Most of the food in Carlbad has been mediocre at best and I'm happy to have found this gem!“

“The truth is that I was again left without words to rate this restaurant, thus daring to decide that there should be more than 5 stars to give it a score; Its excellent service, congratulating the waiter José for his magnificent and friendly attention as part of the pleasant group, its exquisite menu and the incredible atmosphere that characterizes it are characteristics that make it for me without lasting one of the best places in this town. My husband and I were very satisfied when we went there to eat. Congratulations ? ?“

“Went down today from Roswell hoping to make it back before school, didn’t make it in time but it was well worth it!! I got the breakfast quesadilla and the brisket nachos. Hands down the best quesadilla I’ve ever had! Brisket nachos were also amazing! If you’re in town…even if you’re not, I highly recommend stopping by and getting something, customer service is just as good as the food! 10/10 gonna have to make that drive for it again!“

“Rooms were very clean, staff was more than friendly and the breakfast was very hot and delicious with so many breakfast items to choose from! Being under new management they have really improved this hotel overall. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend all of my friends and family stay here as well!“

“Went for lunch. The pulled pork was very good and juicy!! The brisket tasted good but was kind of dry and chewy. The mashed potatoes and potato salad both tasted homemade and were both also really good. Loved that we can get to-go cups for drinks! 4 stars for the brisket being dry and no beer. If you're looking to have a drink with your meal there's no alcohol. The service was great!! Also the prices were very reasonable.“

“First, I would have posted pictures, but I was too busy eating to take them them...My husband and I shared a green chili poutine, we shouldn't have since we were each getting a burger. I'm NOT sorry we did. It was piled high with cheese and white gravy (we could have had brown) and delicious with a nice kick from the chilis.I had a bacon jam burger that was one part bacon and 2 parts sin.The house made chips are crispy like that one single burnt fry you always hope to get at the bottom of your fries except a whole plate of them!Hubby got the sky burger, 4 slabs of bacon, 3 cheeses and he says the chipotle sauce wasn't spicey but... I have trust issues.I also grabbed a pecan ale. It was like someone married a pecan syrup to an ale... but not sweet! He got a cider because when your spicey soul wants chipotle sauce you gotta sweeten things up somewhere.“
